That is what you say. Maybe they appreciate that he is remembered even if it is in a joke, that is not even that offensive. It was a great sketch.

But your reasoning is idiotic. For all I know you might find it offensive if I tell my friend something about the bible. Am I not allowed to say it because you might be offended?

For one they don't have the same effect. The one actually creates pain. Also, with the slapping you can not just ignore it or switch the channel.
