Crying Inside

I'm crying inside right now.

Some of you may know of my part time hobby of taking photographs...well, I missed the shot of a lifetime just now. cry

Anyways, I was just out taking some pictures of nature in a little river bed after I was done taking down there I started the small climb to get back to my truck, as I get up to the level where it's at I come about 6 inches from stepping on a beautiful 4 and a half foot long sidewinder.

I pull out my camera and rush to turn it on so I can get a nice macro shot of it's face (while trying not to get bitten) and I'm fumbling around with the lens cap because my hands are shaking.

It startled the crap out of me because I wasn't expecting it, but I had to get that shot. By the time I get the camera ready the snake was gone into hiding and I only got a couple blurry photos of the tail end of it because I had the camera set to macro and I was too far away. cry

That sucks, that looks like a beautiful snake just from the tail snapshots.

I'll let you take a photo of me in a snake skin body suit.
But that's as much as your getting out of me. 😬

-the bride outfit

Maybe not the best shot in the world, but still you got a decent one anyways considering the circumstances...better luck next time. What kind of snake was it, I've never seen markings or bands like that.
