No the fact I call you names is the fact you act as if I know nothing about history. Also did you see ninjas in the title? We were talking about makign a completely different thread. Ninja did rely on stealth and they would be confused hell ther emidn set in those days it likly scare many of them not knowing how the smoke was being caused. Also if they fought in the dark I feel bad for the spartans if it was in the woods at night lol then it just be unfair. Also ninja did not only need stealth you do know that an average ninja could kill around 3 sameria at once by them selfs.........not to mention there h2h prowess was some of the best around. They also carried an assortment of long range as well as close range weapons.
The ninja were good but not because of outright fighting skill. They would more readily use tactics like sabotage before they engaged an opponent in open warfare. In a one-on-one, a samurai would probably beat a ninja due to the samurai having access to better equipment. The ninja were successful because they pulled stunts like dressing like a samurai, poisoning food, disguising firearms as swords, etc. They didn't specialize in fair, one on one combat.
