couldn't grow to like it.

After reading Ennis version for so many years War journal just seems to silly. I prefer my Punisher without metas in the background.

I read Punisher: MAX aswell and it's nice to see Frank staying gritty and true to his origins, but I like PWJ aswell though; it's nice to see a different take on him, from a different perspective.

I like the usual art in WJ, but think it would be alot better suited to a different comic, because it's too cartoony and doesn't really fit the character (I still think it's pretty nice though).

And most of the art on the MAX comics has been pretty nice, except I'm really not a fan of Chaykin, whom IIRC penciled a few (he's now on Wolverine).

I'm not entirely fond of the WJ art either, seeing as it makes him look way too buff. The MAX comics' art has been pretty decent in my opinion, Chaykin's done good.

Incidentally, did you read Wisdom?

I don't think he looks too buff, that's probably what he'd look like in real life, much buffer than everyone else.

Yes, I did read Wisdom actually, quite the disappointment I must say.

The power to make any fictional thing/character become real, and he was stupid enough to make an evil, treacherous alien race his ally...
