Add them all together and you've got a good mix, I also think that because it isn't such a well-known character and probably won't have half the budget as Spiderman 3 or X3, it'll rock.
Don't you crazy ass white boys think you won't go and watch it, or atleast buy the DVD when it comes out, 'cause you will... You will.
How does a smaller budget make a film better? That means they won't have the proper funding to say "don't worry about whether or not we have the resources to do that".
And what's the point of "you crazy ass white boys"? Since when do you have to be white to see comic book films? You know, for a thread that started off with people wondering whether or not the issue of "a black superhero film" would come up, I'm not surprised that there was a random jab at white people before it. Just because I'm white doesn't mean I'll like any white superhero. If you look at my previous posts, I'm far more supportive of a BP movie than Ant-Man or Namor. I'll go see them, as I've seen every comic book movie so far, because I'm a comic book fan. It has nothing to do with what race I am.
But of course, if I take offense to that comment, then I'm being politically incorrect......

Silly rabbit, I'm white 🙄. Be as politically incorrect as you want, makes little difference to me.
I just think that the smaller a budget that Super-Hero movies have the better; because when they have too large a budget they go over the tops with special effects and stuff like that.

I do agree with you that a lot of them seem to subscribe to "the bigger, the better", but I think that's more an issue of competence and research than budget size. Without a big budget, we wouldn't have been able to see the Narrows in Batman Begins. Hell, look at the old Fantastic 4 movie (not saying the new one's a shining star in itself lol). Small budgets lead to cartoon Human Torches lol.

Well I think Batman Begins had a reasonable budget and a small amount of CGI and stuff like that. It was kept simple but true to the character, so it worked. Yet like you mentioned FF = Big Budget and bloody Magneto wannabe Doom and stuff like that. I think Marvel would give Namor & Ant-Man both enough, but not a sillily large amount because neither are really going to be breaking box office records.

As far as appearance-wise though, if they give Namor a pair of green booty shorts like he normally wears, no matter what it is, it'll be stupid. You can try your very best to make a character a "badass", but the costume has a lot to deal with it. Nobody will look at that and say "hm...looks cool", they'll go "wow, who's the sea ***?" haha.Ant-Man though........didn't we cover all that crap in "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids"??
they'll more than likely go with the new design. green speedos will look ever so gay.
but if the short-lived Aquaman series is any indication...people arent really interested in seeing characters like Namor.

Too much like Batman? Their origins are completely different. Okay sure, he is Batman-esque in appearance..but there is so much more to the character than his suit. If they sell this movie right, it can be a big smash. The movie can even be set in Wakanda, just to give a totally unique outlook...you can even throw in Storm to get the X-Men faithful itching to see it. But I think a selling point of this character is his origin...and a beautiful Wakanda setting a la 300 will really fill up seats.

EASILY the best costume I've seen Namor in. If they go that route, it'll definitely be received a lot better. But I agree, people don't seem to be too interested in water dwellers right now, so it'll probably just make as much as like Daredevil or something.

Good point and with underworld buried somewhere in the distant past i am sure people dont want to dig up old memories *Shudders*

Average moviegoers probably won't know the differences or care once they're set on associating T'Challa with Jessie Jackson.
If it does come to be though, I hope they go with the full bodysuit and no transforming into an actual panther.
