France is stupid easy to live in, good health care, excellent pay -as long as you have a job, which is kind of the downside of being in France, but hey, I have a job 😛 -. If you're willing to live by the countryside, is quite heavenly. Not very cold unless you live... Where I currently live...

Just don't live in Paris, the quality of life you get for the money you pay... Not worth it.

Paris=most overrated city I've ever been to.

Not saying it sucks, just that for the average tourist its significantly less romantic than the popular image of it. Southern France, Normandy, and the French Alps are WAAAAAAAYYY better to visit.

I'm actually writing a short story as the final exam of my Fiction Technique class partially based on my experiences in Languedoc-Rousillon right now. Ever been down that way, Bentley?

I loved Paris, more so than anywhere else I've been to in France (though much of the rest of the country was pretty great as well). It's all about individual experience though.

Might be that I don't like cities much. Except Montreux and Luxembourg City, those are class acts.

Just passing by, I haven't stopped over there.

I suppose that as a french I see going to Paris as something that may happen, simply because the city has more work than anywhere else, but living there it's kind of hard because rent is stupid high. It's also not similar at all to the popular image of France, but it is still a very cultural city and lots of stuff happens over there. I might say, that barring stupidly high rents and ridiculously tiny appartments it must be a lot more enjoyable to live in Paris than to visit Paris. In a long stay you can actually enjoy more of the city life.

It's not for everyone though.

People do hate the US of A yes siree.

Pakistan
koria
Israil

The pictures of US soldiers pissing on members of the Taliban who are dead show why they are so hated world wide. The U.K. and the rendition of it's own subjects to the US and it's cuban torture centre show why the UK is disliked.

I wonder how many people 'hate' the U.S. more than they do say, the Taliban. I've never heard anyone support the Taliban, or defend them... but I've never met someone who throws the vitriol at them as they do the U.S. Same with North Korea, or Zimbabwe, or Sudan, or Syria, or Rwanda. It's like it's all reserved for America, and the crimes of other nations take a back seat.

The US and Americans is perceived as being way more of a dick about it. Hypocrisy causes revulsion in a lot of people.

They just hate our freedom.

Freedom is the chocolate to their tyrannical vanilla.

OH the Old world always hates the New world. Go figure. lol
