Regarding the USA and France comments....for some reason I don't think there is sucha big rivalry between the two. I would think that the rivalry with France is much bigger with England. Both been neighbors for years and they had their differences...maybe nowadays things have change.

Why do they have to be the world police, one of the 1st nations to get involved in outside affairs. Maybe if they spent less time meddling with other countries America could be a true blue great country.

This is exactly why the U.S. is going downhill. Our own citizens are saying the country is corrupt. Every empire has screwed up somewhere and been criticized. America is really just a modern-day empire.
