Did you just say Kevin Smith wrote something better than Alan Moore? Watchmen was created by Alan Moore, Daredevil was just written by Smith. Frank Miller Vs Alan Moore is the common debate, and Moore often wins. It's not fact obviously, but if the general consensus among thinking comic book fans is that Daredevil's best writer is lesser than Moore even on his OWN stuff, why is Kevin Smith better?

I liked Guardian Devil, but it's the arc you'd always recommend to someone who'd already read Born Again.

Whereas if someone says "What graphic novel would you recommend?", you'd probably say Watchmen before you said The Dark Knight Returns.

😆

When we were debating the Watchmen movie earlier in this thread, I felt that a lot of your opinions were expressed with a forcefulness. But because it was opinion, like my own to the contrary, I held my tongue.

However, it doesn't matter how many people think the same subjective thing, it doesn't make it more objective than the minority who feels otherwise.

Guess what? I've read a ton of Frank Miller's run on Daredevil, not all of it but most, including the brilliant Daredevil #181. However haven't read born again. So can't comment on that. However if you asked what my favourite Daredevil storyline was I'd still say Guardian Devil. Surprising isn't it considering everyone says Frank Miller? It's almost as if that A>B>C logic you're using with Moore, Miller and Smith doesn't account personal opinion. Which is exactly why you can't present personal opinions as a factual statement. There has to be something outside opinion to justify those kinds of comments and I don't think there is.

Also how does Moore win? Do you mean the fact that more people refer Moore's storyline qualifies it as a win? Because that's a load of crap. I like Watchmen because of my personal taste, not because most other people also like it. I can't account for your opinions but mine don't follow the crowd.

Kevin Smith write something better than Alan Moore? Well in my opinion I prefer Guardian Devil to Watchmen. So let me reiterate for your despite the fact I thought it was clear enough in my initial post. I prefer Guardian Devil to Watchmen. I think it's a better read fear

I didn't think The Dark Knight Returns was all that great. The art sucked.

-DM

Guardian Devil was incredible.

My favourite Daredevil comics of all time.

I would probably recommend something that suits them. Watchmen may be great but not so much if it's out of someone's element.

So, the reason we disagree so much is because you have madly questionable taste.

I see. Oh, and you would be signing your initials like everyone else BECAUSE you don't follow the crowd? I see.

Yes I have a crazy opinion because you don't like it ✅

And I do the initial thing in hopes of teasing you. If that means following the crowd, that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make 😛

Well I'm sure plenty have, but it seems, unless we're doing it to take the mick, the whole signing off thing seems a bit pointless. With your user-name on the left, it's not like I'm gonna forget who you are. You're kinda defeating the point of having your user-name there.....

You think since 2004, nobody has also said that?

On this thread alone, it's been questioned, I'm sure the pointlessness of signing off has been brought up on many occasions. However, I hope to see the humour in it. 🙂

-WR

Well, I'm immeasurably flattered that you copy me.

Is there a reason you follow me?

Just curious. It's bothersome. At least have some decent grammar and spelling.

This, folks, sums up the problem.

-OS

Is this initials thing a rule now?

My user-name has initials in it. Does that count?

Nah, it's just done by folks who love me.

I clearly wasn't serious. I said I'm aware it's subjective.
