He has shown mastery of the force, but not enough with a lightsaber to put him anywhere close to Mace.

Please explain to me what Jacen has that's useful in one on one combat?
Jacen is hard for me to judge. He can do impressive things like flow walk and apparently was close to Luke in their duel, but he also had trouble besting Aurra Sing. TPM Maul > Aurra Sing, so by that logic he wouldn't be able to get past #1. If, however, he is close to Luke, he makes it to 6 or 7. I am also very confused as to the order of your list. Why is AOTC Anakin after Maul? Why is DE Sidious after NJO Luke? numbers 4 through 7 don't increase very much in difficulty, either, though they do increase slightly, I suppose, seeing as he gets no rest, too.

Or perhaps there's the fact that Aurra probably got several times stronger in the sixty or so years since Maul's time. Come on, does anyone really think she stayed exactly the same for 60 YEARS!!!

Why would she have gotten stronger? By the time that she fights Jacen she is 93 years old - assuming that she ages like a human, by this age she'd be far past her prime. Has she done anything else in the NJO era to show that she improved greatly?
Because the idea that she would have done anything besides get stronger in the more than 60 years since Maul was around in ridiculous.
BTW, although her father's species is unknown it was stated that he was a member of a very long lived species. She could probably live several centuries. 93 isn't that old.
