What is your preferred OS/platform and why?

OSX, latest edition.

I had a Sony Vaio for 4 years before getting a Mac.

I loved my Vaio, and my internet connection by AOL was flawless.

Apple is better in every way. 🙂

No details, ... in everyway.

If you constantly scan comic pages for proof, what do you use?

I crop with Preview, simple and effective.

I never need to enhance my scans.

As for me... I tend to use OSX with Photoshop for scans, although I'm equally comfortable using Windows for the same thing.

If I had to manipulate a scan, I would do it with CS aswell.

Firefox works fine on either platform for viewing the forums here.

Awesome...always good to see another OSX user. Will you be upgrading to Leopard when it comes out?

If you are..you may like to play around with this:

It's similar to one of the new features that are going to be built in... the cube effect that can be selected is pretty cool too.

What are you scanning with? If preview scans, that would definitely help me cut out the Photoshop middleman a lot of the time.

Safari.

Have you tried Flock? http://www.flock.com/

It can be tied to photobucket or flikr accounts and makes pasting pics and the like into forums such as this ever easier due to it's built in photo acct. management.

thanx, this is so cool.

I use preview to crop specific segments of a Scan, or to shorten a Page in order to decrease it's K-Bit size.

I don't scan, I would never put my beloved Comics through that torture,

I choose other methods of acquiring Scanned Comics 😏

ImageShack has been working for me since I began to post scans around here.

But options never hurt, thanx Av.

Vista and it blows ass.

Been using XP for ages now, until I got myself a new laptop 3 days ago that had Vista. So far I like Vista a lot, not found any problems so far whatsoever. Heck I even haven't had the need to download FireFox instead of IE7.
