Not to mention it's equally splendid sequel, The Legend of Korra.
Can't believe I just started watching it.

I can honestly say the wholes series (The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra) is one of the best American cartoons ever created.

The old Popeye animations, for me.

But I love all the old animations in general, when they were light on dialogue , heavy on visual spectacle, and told a complete story in ten minutes or less.

Another cartoon worth mentioning: The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest.

I felt it was ahead of it's time, in terms of plot development and some animations.

Not to mention having one of the most badass openings among cartoons.

I don't know enough cartoons to know what is 'the best', but personally, I grew up with the '90s Spider-Man animated series, The Powerpuff Girls, and there was also this tween drama series called "As Told By Ginger", which I loved a lot.

Spongebob.

Justice League Unlimited

Archer and adventure time
