Ohhhhh, turns out I'm not going tonight, BUGGER! Anyway, turns out my school might be having this whole week off because of the extreme weather we've had, apparently all the room's except for one were flooded including our new threatre ... oh dear, so yeah, no school - but maybe a chance to see AWE some time in the week!
My friend at school said something today which I thought would've been really good if it happened instead.
he said that when Jack put the dagger into Will's hand to stab Davy's heart, my friend at first though that actually it was Jack, Will and Elizabeth, stabbing the heart all at once. He thought that then they could all be together and captain of the Dutchman. Then in the next shot he realized this wasn't so.
I'm upset cause that would've been really good. It would've showed their bond of friendship!
What does everyone else think?
I agree but I don't think it works that way! A ship with three captains?! We saw a ship with two captains and that was...not working.
I think it was better like this. It showed their friendship more. Because Jack wanted to stab the heart but sacrificed his desire for his friends...Will and Elizabeth. That was sweet.
BTW I loved that shot with the three of them sitting there! Even though Will had a sword through his heart and it was sad but it read "All three of them against everyone else."
You realize we haven't seen all three of them in a peaceful shot ever since the fort scene is COTBP?

Yeah, I know it wouldn't work but, oh well.
I agree a very good friendship shot.
that's one of the things I did not enjoy about the third one...Norrington's part was too small and he was too serious...I enjoyed the comical norrington in DMC.....and I loved when he and Jack would get to each other...I just think AWE just was too rushed...they should never have filmed the two movies in conjunction with each other....they should filmed DMC..then took about six months off and then filmed AWE and have it come out in 2008 and then perhaps they would have realized the gaps in the story and all the missed opportunities...the movie just did not flow.....
My personal opinion...and i stick to it....AWE ruined the trilogy for me, just as i feared it would..don't get me wrong, i'm still addicted to Pirates and I love the first two movies and there are parts of the third that are good ...but AWE did not complete/compliment the trilogy....IMO

Im still pissed that I spent so much money on movie 2 only to learn that it was a waste of time..they may as well just had movie 1 and 3 instead of a middle one that actually means nothing to the overall story come to think of it.
AWE just makes me so 😠
and someone on here says that there is plenty of Lust between will and liz....pluzeeee......i feel nothing when they are together.....but blahness..and it's nothing against Will personally, i just don't think Keira/Orlando...Will/Elizabeth have any chemsitry.....it's about as exciting as watching 2 turtles race each other around a full-sized track 20 laps......
I suspect there was a lot of last-minute editing of the film, that's why there are full of gaps and holes in AWE. All the Sparrabeth moments in the junior novelization were completely taken out of the film. Why?
The scene at the end where Will and Liz just had sex on the beach felt like a separate attachment, an afterthought added to the film. It was weirdly out of sync, somehow.
