hi2two things about licking behavior--one is when we're all baby pirate darlin's everything goes into your mouth becos it's your most trusted sense--you know you see things, but let's face it--someone hides their face and peek-a-boo they are "gone"....Jack's behavior is reduced to what is possibly real in his non-real world.
then there's the geology take--you meet a rock hound, you meet a rock licker--off the ground, dust the dirt, and lick--so you can reveal any obscure minerals the rock actually is--then (lightbulbjust occurred to me)maybe it was some sort of myth reference--any gods or goddesses brought to life by "touch" licking?
