Actually, FDR, Lincoln, Truman, etc. all got into politics early. Reagan was also interested in politics from an early age, and was still fairly young when elected Governor of California (around 55).

Yeltsin was a suck up to the west, and was easily bought - Putin is not. And I really doubt he is suicidal either.

As every intelligent person has already said the act of 'aiming' nukes means nothing. It's nothing more than rhetoric's from Putin who wants to flex his muscles to show the world, and his citizens that Russia still has power. Reminds me of the time when Russia threatened to invade he Baltic states should they join NATO.
