She didn't even hardly fight him.
She kicked rocks, he dodged and they cause a diversion, and she got him with her lasso while distracted.
Nothing I've seen shows her fighting at lightspeed, or even supersonic.
I'll look some more.

Wouldn't WW flying headlong into a situation that she doesn't know about, at lightspeed(😂 ) defeat the argument of her being an intelligent tactician??

Basic Knowledge
Each side receives basic knowledge of the other. A good measure of this would be what the general population of the character's homeworld knows. For example, that Superman has a weakness to Kryptonite is general knowledge, but that he's Clark Kent is not.

She hit ZOOM. Do you know who he is? You can't "cause a diversion" to him in a pathetic way like that, he exists outside time. In order to even attempt to hit him, you need to be FAST.
And WW is fast enought to BLOCK BULLETS by moving her hands around, what on Earth makes you think she could not move as fast in a fight situation?

You do know that Diana THINKS faster then normal humans too? Hence, she has SUPERHUMAN REACTIONS. Hence she can react fast enough to block bullets. Hence she is capable of going toe to toe with Superman and reacting to his attacks.
Before the slow impulse in Storm's brain can give the command, her head is halfway to Mars. Diana MOVES and THINKS far, far, far, far faster then Storm does.
And in a fight, there is no "before the start of the fight" unless given preptime. And there is nothing in Storm's arsenal that Wonder Woman could not either dodge or block anyway.
Still claiming that a flying inanimate object is comparable to Wonder Woman, too. You don't really know anything, do you?
