Its because of her manuvering.. air acts like a liquid to supersonic objects. if you were to drag and move your finger around in the water you'll notice the vacancy of water would continually close behind your finger and each sharp turn would cause another splash.

Okay. Here is Wonder Woman flying from Wyoming to Switzerland in less then one minute and 54 seconds. Since the locations and the timeframes are stated VERY clearly, there is nothing that you can do to fight against the facts. 😄

That's right, two hundred and fourty times the speed of sound. And actually, because the biggest part of the time was used in fighting Superman, she did it in much less time then 1.54 minutes. So Mach 500 or Mach 1000 would be much closer, but we'll go with the lowest possible estimations, just to make you happy. 😂

Makes Storm look quite pathetic in comparision, eh? 🙂

WW has been shown moving hundreds of times the speed of sound. Way too fast for Storm. 🙂

Part of Storm's problem is that she is being propelled by her winds. its a push type of speed. Where As WW if flying under her own direct power so is more controlled. At a certain speed Storm risks breaking her neck due to the weight of her head if she moves too quickly or manuevers wrong. She doesn't have enhanced durability beyond that of a well trained human.
