Jesus is not the Father, Jesus is the Son. God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (each Person is distinct yet God equally). Think of the angles of an equilateral triangle, each angle is it's own distinct angle yet it is equally 60 degrees just like the other distinct angles. One triangle, three distinct angles, which are all equal. One God, three distinct Persons, Whom are all equal.
I see the point (haha, made a joke)... Thing is, all three points are the same triangle, different they may be; if said triangle were sentient, why would it speak to itself in the 3rd person? Wouldn't Jesus just have said to himself "Okay, I forgive them, as they don't know what they're doing".?

Angles do not exist. 🙄 😆

Why would Jesus then say to himself, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."?
I've asked this question before. No one ever answered it. As JIA just did, he tries to explain Jesus talking to himself by explaining the trinity to us. This is not an answer.
It always sounded to me like the last words of a man who knew he was innocent but knew he'd be put to death anyway.

The positive answer is that the religion forum should be renamed the "christianity forum", and that any response that doesn't fit into the biblical masturbation category is off topic and irrelevant.

Why don't you understand something that is so simple to understand? Jesus is not the Father. God consists of three Persons, but those three Persons constitute one God. At the time that Jesus was baptized the Bible states that the Holy Spirit descended from Heaven like a dove (Jesus and Holy Spirit are two distinct Persons wouldn't you agree?). Lastly the voice from the Father spoke from Heaven after the Holy Spirit descended from Heaven (Father, Son Jesus, and Holy Spirit are three distinct Persons yet one God). Can you see this now?
Matthew 3:15-17
15 But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him.
16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
One God, three Persons.

You still don't get it huh?
Do I understand how the trinity works? Yes, I get that. As stupid as you think everyone who disagrees with you must be, I spent 12 years in catholic school. I'm sure the nuns found time at some point over those 12 years to address it. My point is that whenever the verse addressed by Robtard is mentioned, bible-thumpers like yourself attempt to explain Jesus' MPD moment by telling us about the trinity. That isn't in question.

What verse by Robtard?
