i know its not a zombie film , but tell that to people who say it is,, it even got voted has 2nd best zombie film ever made in a magazine,,

i also know it wasnt made by hollywood i just dont like the crap they are producing, i prefer the indie and foreign horror atleast there stuff is original,

So because a films made in a foreign country or designed for a limited audience it's automatically going to be better than it's American mainstream counterparts?

Tell you what, why don't you recommend us some worthwhile horrors, and please no lowbrow splatter movies that sacrifices plot for lots of scantily clad women and gore that looks like it's come from the workshop of a pantomime production...if I wanted this I'd either go to a GWAR concert or consult the endless archives of 70s zombie movies from the US and Italy.

ok,, 28 days later isnt a foreign horror film,, but its still crap

snuff 102.. watch that,,its got subtitles but its beter than any horror film that you have watched,

i cant put down the quote due to someone dosnt like my view's

Nothing wrong with subtitles. But Snuff 102 doesn't look that good and I doubt it is that good to warrant 'It's better than any horror film that you have watched'.

I went through a phase of wanting to see all the banned/video nasties films years ago, not so bothered about them now unless it's something that someone I trust recommends as worth seeing.

Same here. I remember that phase well. "OMG OMG CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST OMG!!"

when a stranger calls
any movie made by rob zombie(although Halloween and it's sequel deserve special mention)
prom night

all the other movies, such as rest stop and black christmas were not scary in the least, but at least they were entertaining

Same here. I remember that phase well. "OMG OMG CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST OMG!!"

I remember doing something like that when I found the film I Spit On Your Grave on VHS uncut when it was still banned in Britain. Bought it when over in America. 🙂

hahaha, I had the same response to that same movie.

Saw it on VHS at some store when I was on vacation when I first started getting into those types of horror movies, had heard a lot about it and got all shit-excited cuz I thought it was difficult to find. Turned out it wasn't it, saw it a few weeks later at Best Buy.

I went through that same same phase of wanting to see all the banned films etc and after I watched them I said to myself "I just wasted so many hours viewing such shitty movies like I Spit On Your Grave when I could of been watching GOOD movies".

Gore movies and shock movies like that have no impact on me anymore. I have seen it all. Subconcious Cruelty etc and they are not disturbing or scary, whats disturbing and scary is the people who make those types of films and the people who seek them out.

I don't mind Arty movies but I prefer Arty psychological horror/thriller films nowadys, not Arty satanic gore crap.

Nah there's nothing scary or bad about people who make or like those movies, just a stupid thing to say, really. They're just movies.

I just got tired of them, their impact waned quickly. Though there's still some good ones, I think. I still think Cannibal Holocaust is pretty decent and does some things well, and Salo and August Underground and what have you, they do their job well. Most are crap, though. I'm not going to make some bullshit moralist statement or anything, just think they tend to be boring now.

Bit of a bold statement there, for one how do you know what horror movies I've watched? Probably more than you for a start as I'm open-minded, but I digress that's neither here nor there.

As a big music fan you remind me of those Black Metal fans who'll only listen to bands/artists if they made their first (and only) EP in a cave in deepest darkest Norway, killed (at least) one of their members and/or use actual suicide shots as bootleg album covers. And despite all these acts they're still crap. Now I'm not saying all Black Metal is crap just the stuff that has image over quality much like Snuff 102 than.

And again as a music fan Snuff 102 looks nothing more than rejected clips for a Carcass video.

Indeed bands like Carcass, Cannibal Corpse, Descecration, Cattle Decapitation, Autopsy, General Surgery, A*C*...hell most Death Metal, Grind and Death core bands have been getting the likes of the BBFC, PRMC and various similar outlets up in arms probably long before Mariano Peralta was out of high school, and before the likes of these bands the PC brigade had to contend with the likes of Zarchi, Deodato Fulci, Scavolini hell even Raimi & Craven and just for you i'd throw in Le Cilaire amongst the endless realms of 'video nasty' directors most of whom made films with subtitles to.

Anyways 28 Days Later > Snuff 102 any day of the week.
Or in my case Emperor > Deathstars

I went through that same same phase of wanting to see all the banned films etc and after I watched them I said to myself "I just wasted so many hours viewing such shitty movies like I Spit On Your Grave when I could of been watching GOOD movies".

That's how I felt for the majority I managed to see. Including I Spit On Your Grave. Even though I didn't think much of it, I did a paper on the film and feminism at college.

Saw it on VHS at some store when I was on vacation when I first started getting into those types of horror movies, had heard a lot about it and got all shit-excited cuz I thought it was difficult to find. Turned out it wasn't it, saw it a few weeks later at Best Buy.

I got Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III unrated or director's cut, can't remember, on VHS on the same day, still have that one on my shelf.

1408? That movie wasn't that bad. It was a fun watch for me.

Certainly not bad enough to warrant WORST.

I actually found 1408 to be quite terrible. The first half was interesting, but the second half I absolutely hated.

Same here man.

haven't seen any horror movies lately. but Nora the Mummy for me was the worst one. i cant remember the details anymore. it's a wonder how i can still remember the title. good thing it only ran for like 100 mins or so. but still a waste of time, and money!

Darkness Falls= most horrible piece of shit movie to ever be placed in the horror category. A movie about a toothfairy that kills people when they step in shadows.... ET was probably more suspensful than this film.

That was rubbish, to think the director went on to make the wonderful film The Killing Room.

Halloween 2 was awful. And it takes A LOT for me to despise a film with Michael Myers in it. Rob Zombie should be shot.

I just watched Against The Dark last night, absolutely terrible 'Vampire' movie... I wasn't expecting an amazing movie due to it starring Steven Seagal, but there was nothing of interest. Unless you want to see wooden Seagal walking around for the whole movie and every so often having to chop up a vampire...

I've got Uwe Boll's Seed to watch next, I expect to add it into this topic.
