😆I said he "should" win, being a high-Level abstract and all. 😬
Are you kidding me?
I've constantly sided with Lantern and Flash in debates. I even once stated that ION was more powerful than Living Tribunal. I'm far from bias, but just because I disagree with you on a couple f threads I'm bias. 😬
I was a big DC fanboy when I was in High-School, and in some respects I still am. My favorite hero is lantern, so I doubt I'm marvel bias.
just cuz u went against him he thinks ur biased not that u just have a differing opinion.

That is what I was thinking. In the A wave, he was described as the most powerful CREATURE in creation or something like that. He's abstract lvl in power. But certainly not high level.
I'm going by what Galactus's intended power level since his inception, not one description in a comic arc. We all know that Glactus is up there with Death/Oblivion & Eternity/Infinity, and somehow he's not a High-level cosmic?

I'd say a high end cosmic would be the multi Eternity, or a beyonder.

if galactus isnt involved in the universe bad things happen. they need galactus so quit acting like hes nothing.
😕
But besides his reputation he's got nothing in common with the people that attend those things.
Most of the representatives are the manifestation of a concept. Galactus is not nor does he have the kind of power many of them claim to have.
Originally posted by Symmetric Chaosi never claimed he was equal to eternity or infinity. just that he belongs and is needed.

IMO highlevel abstracts, Multieternity, the Beyonders and Living Tribunal, Abraxas. Thats IMO high level abstracts.
Mid level Eternity Death Oblivion infinity.
Lower level Abstracts Celestials, Galactus, Strange and so forth.
But thats just my Openion 🙂 but I will say IMO then Galactus is the highest ranking of the Low Level abstracts.

That why most of them are there because of there importans to the Universe. Why are the Celestials there ore the watchers and so forth because they all play a part. If we just take Power Eternity should be there alone 😬

It has nothing to do with reputation. In old issues of SS it's been established that in order for marvel-616 to exist, you MUST have 3 entities: Eternity (and his counterpart, Infinity), Death (and her counterpart, Oblivion) and Galactus. So everything could die, presumably even the Phoenix Force, and so long as Eternity, Galactus, and Death remained, the unviverse could continue. For these reasons we have seen many times Eternity respect Galactus (Eternity is an arrogant ***** who respects only LT), and Death calls Galactus her husband, son, brother, father. When Eternity was comatose due to being restricted by the power of 5 cosmic cubes...it was Galactus who revived him. That's a pretty awesome feat.
Removal of any one of them (Death, Galactus, Eternity) causes the universe to collapse and fail.
Removal of Galactus releases Abraxas into the multi-verse, causing wide-spread destruction of universes.
In those cosmic meetings, aside from the living tribunal, Galactus is de facto the oldest entity there. He pre-dates Eternity, he pre-dates Death, he predates the watchers, the celestials, stranger, lord chaos/master order, etc. etc. etc. I'll conceed that they (Eternity, Death, etc.) gained conciousness and awareness before Galactus did, but in terms of just merely existing, Galactus is older than all of them. Why is this?
Because Galactus is the semi-physical remnant of the Eternity of the previous universe, i.e., current Eternity's predecessor. That's where power cosmic comes from...Galactus wields the same kind of power (not necessarily the same level) that the previous version/incarnation/variation of Eternity had.
That's why he gets respect. That's why he's always at the cosmic meetings. That's why the Living Tribunal addresses him by name, with some honorary title usually (i.e., Mighty Galactus). Odin died and LT didn't even care or notice. Galactus has the stature to seek an audience with LT any time he wishes.
So, in conclusion, is Galactus a true abstract? No. But he is semi-abstract. He has somewhat a physical body. Everyone perceives Galactus differently, due to his semi-abstract nature. He doesn't have an m-body like eternity because merging with Galan gives Galactus physical properties (i.e., he is tangible and is constantly present in the physical realm), but the merging with the previous Eternity gives him abstract qualities (the power cosmic, no two different races look at galactus and see the same being, because their minds cannot process galactus' true appearance, cosmic awareness).
Right now what you see is Galactus at face value. A big dude who's white and has a 60's B-movie look.
You've got to know the history and context of the character to really get an understanding
