He can react as long as he doesn't look. Its like that in some comics. Spidey has to learn how to completely trust his spider sense and just dodge when it tingles. At this point, he looks at whatever it is thats attacking. What if it goes off when someone is a milisecond from firing a bullet? If he looks, he's as good as dead.

That's not what Weisman said, however. He explicitly stated, "Often the warning comes too late for him to react."

And that's a tad bothersome.

thats stupid, whats the point of a spider-sense if it does not work at the right time.

Um, Spider Sense tells him of danger, not exactly what it is.

I guess that might be true for the new animated series, but not entirely true for the comic.

No, it's true for the comic as well. It was stated in one of the Stan Lee era issues.

i loved persona...really i did.

New episode ruled. We get to see some Eddie development. Next week looks amazing!

True, but it should at least give him enough time to react. Otherwise, it'd be pointless, yes?

awesome episode.

This is the year 2008. 🙂

So? I prefer stans take on it anyway. Plus, that was the begining of spiderman. This show practically just started so it is also the begining of spiderman. They've mostly stayed true to the comics so far, so why change now? Plus, the spider skies and signals and whatnot were also from the stan lee era.

So?

Times have changed. Spider-Man has shown the ability to tell what the danger is by using his spider-sense.

As do I.

They shouldn't change. It would be stupid to.

What the danger is? Are you sure you don't mean where the danger is?

And even if times have changed, spidey, when he started out, in every single continuety (shows, movies, comics) had the same spidey sense this show is using. That has never changed with the times. Not in ultimate spidey, not in the TAS, not in regular comics, not in books not in the movies, not in anything. That never has changed.

Also, he can only do that in Amazing spiderman. I've never seen him do it in spectacular, sensasional or ultimate. The sense only changed in one comic.

I agree, I never said anything different. I suppose things have reverted back though since the retcon anyways.

There is only Amazing Spider-Man for 616 now, which is so much better. But this is just going off-topic now. Someone should start a thread discussing Spidey's powers, if there isnt one already.

Nah. Its cool. I don't even know what I'm arguing about anymore. 😛

What did you think of eddie's crazy moment?

That came out of nowhere and for no good reason. Parker took a few pictures? So what? You take his girlfriend and nearly give her a heart attack? That was a way different guy then the Eddie this show started out with.

Eddie better have a better motive for what he's going to do. Then again, there was the sarcasm part about his and peters dead parents (straight from Ultimate Spiderman) so maybe theres a reason he blames peter for his parents deaths. If so, it kickes the hell out of 616's "He cost me my job!" motive.
