Spectacular Spiderman: New Animated TV Show

True...

Besides, she's only in high school. She'll probably be one of those girls who looks nerdy one school year & is completely sexy the next school year. I bet she'll be completely into Peter but he'll turn her down because he might not find her "appealing" & then if she comes back looking really good he'll try to go after her but she'll turn him down. I could definitely see that happening.

Me, too.

Not to bump old topics, but if no one's seen it, I don't know where else to put it...

I found a trailer for the new animated series....

Josh Keaton does a great job in this clip voicing Spider-Man, and the animation is very fluid... Overall, looks like it's gonna be pretty good...

thanks for providing us that link Batdude.yeah the animation is very fluid. however I myself am not crazy about the voice of peter though.Hopefully that will grow on me in time. From what I have seen, I am excited about it.for one thing Gwen is FINALLY going to be in a spidey toon,ya hoo!! and also, the thing that ruined the 90's toon, was The Kingpin was in the majority of those episodes and they always revolved around him with spideys greatest foes such as green goblin, doc ock and others being second rate lackeys who worked for him.Kingpin isnt suppose to be in this one so at least THAT wont happen again.so those two things alone, should make it more enjoyable than the dissapointing 90's toon was. I just hope Gwen doesnt look like she does in those drawings.Man that will suck if she does.Hopefully she looks better on the screen than she does in those drawings.
the three things that concern me the most is,spidey looks good, but what sucked about the 90's toon was they drew peter to look like nicholas hammond instead of peter parker,so I hope they get his drawing done right THIS time.the 80's toon nailed it.also he seems to be going yahoo a lot like he does in those stupid movies. He at least was never doing that in the 90's toon.that will be annoying if he is doing that all the time.

Must Venom be in everything SPiderman related?

man some people dont get it that Venom next to green goblin is probably his most dangerous foe since they are the only two that know his identity. Its a must for venom to be in it.

i like the animation, very fluid,i dont like much the spider design, looks lazy, and i hated the way they did the eyes, the voice is ok for me.finally spiderman actually punch someone, but as i was afraid, this is too childish,i dont expect much.

I just hope like someone mentioned earlier, that in the second year or so when gwen gets older,if that really IS what she looks like in those drawings, that she gets a new look and looks like she did in the comics when she got older.she wasnt so great early on,but later on,she was hot.hopefully they will do the same thing with this one.I got mixed feelings about it but yeah from the way they have gwen and peter drawn,Im not expecting too much either.Plus the producer of the batman is producing this as well so he'll probably mess this show up like he did the batman.I wonder if THIS time around if they'll finally get mary janes character right, something they have NEVER done right in the caroons or movies, and make her the stuck up airheaded b!tch she was in the comics.well this is their third chance to get it right, they're finally including gwen stacy and finally giving her HER due,so maybe third times a charm.

What're you talking about? The spider design doesn't look lazy in anyway, the eyes were perfect, & the voice is perfect. It's not like he's supposed to have a deep voice like Superman. Also, how is it too childish? All we've seen is one trailer in which we can only judge certain things. I expect a lot from this cartoon, it looks great thus far. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the villains look.

I don't know about you but if I was swinging across Manhatten like that above skyscrappers and then dropping near the street below, "Yahoo!" would be a very mild way at least to describe the exhilliration I'd be feeling.
He's 16 for gods sake and you're not happy with him going 'Yahoo'? Such a deprived childhood. 🙄

I have very high hopes that this is gonna be faithful, for one thing the writer said he was taking characters from early comics, such as Peter's gym teacher and making sure the name and character was right, I mean that is commitment, he also said he was gonna take most of the origins and give them maybe slight tweaks, instead of going from ultimate or the films, which frankly I'm sick of. oh and of course Web shooters and under arm webs! I never thought they'd bother with these.

From the looks of it, this cartoon has the potential to surpass the 90's animated series & I hope it does but it will take some effort as the 90's animated series is the best superhero cartoon I've ever watched.

Couldn't have said it any better. I mean, come on, he's a kid so of course he's going to use terms or words like that.

well if its just like a couple or so episodes early on,or even like 5 or 6,then im fine with it,but there comes a point after like 5 or 6 episodes where it would get old and tiresome.thats something I would not want to hear all year long for one year.Let alone 3 or 4 years depending on how many years the show lasts.oh and like RJ said,I still say the 80's toon with spiderman is still the best one.the 90's was great in its first season, but it went downhill from there and got progressily worse. The 80's toon -the one when it was just spiderman -BEFORE spiderman and his amazing friends, that one sucked, they at least didnt have most the episodes revolving around Kingpin with his greatest foes working for kingpin being second rate lackeys for him. 😠 so yeah, because of that,I think this one has the potential to surpass it.I still have mixed feelings about it though.

Of course this show is going to be childish. Its gonna be on KIDS! WB for god sakes! They will have to make it appropriate for kids.Hopefully it just appropriate for kids and thats all.I hope the cheese factor doesnt play that big of a role in this.

If they can make it like the 90's show did in its first season and have good quality writing like that show had its first year,I will be happy.I just hope they dont do what they did in the 90's toon where the first year the shows were really great and that was because they had some old time spiderman writers, but after that, they brought on writers who knew nothing about spiderman and it showed in the wrtitings of the storys as they got worse and worse each year.Just hope they can stay consistant each year and continue to have great writing after the first season and is great from year one on to the last year.can only hope.

If nothing eles this will have the best action out of all the toons, the 90's series seemed to lack something I dunno like whenever Spidey hit someone it seemed like there was no force behind it, and he never seemed overly agile, And MTV Spidey was very agile but not to strong. this seems to have the right blend. But I really really hope that seeing as they have gone for young Peter they aren't gonna base his character off Ultimate, cause well I preferd it when something went wrong for him in 616 he'd just get really angry instead of curling up into a ball and moaning about it for 3 issues in ultimate.

Can't wait to see the show.
And since this thread partly turned into "who would beat whom" I want to say few things.
1. Eddie Brock would beat the crap outa Kletus Cassidy.
2. Venom would beat the crap outa Carnage.
Whoever thinks otherwise needs a serious update on both characters.
It is true that in his first appearance Carnage managed to hold his own against both Venom and Spider.
Since then Venom faced Carnage 1 on 1 many times and won 80% of their fights. And Spider-man even had to protect Carnage from Venom on few ocasions.
As for Brock vs Cassidy. Kletus is in a good physical shape while Brock is a peak human. Without symbiote Eddie was able to take on armed gang members and even to give a fight to one of the symbiotes in "Separation Anxiety". For detales check the respect thread under my signiture.🙂

What're you smoking? Venom is not anywhere close to being able to defeat Carnage. It's even been proven in the comics seeing as, well, Carnage did whoop Venom's black symbiote having ass.
