Jordan awoke the next morning at 7:34 AM. It was a good sleep, he needed it after all the commotion. Already in his uniform, all he did was get up, make the bed and leave the room.
"Hey Jordan, how was it?" asked Sam.
"I needed it. Did the police come to pick up the Freemans and the others?" Jordan replied.
"Thats the thing Jordan...They never came during the night, and we have been calling them...They won't pick up...And look outside..." Sam studdered.
Jordan walked to the front door, and looked out its window. There were no cars driving by and no one to be seen.
"Maybe it's too early...." Jordan thought to himself.
"Its been like this all night, I only saw 2 cars drive by, one around 10 oclock, and another around 1, but it crashed nearby. We checked it, but no one was inside the car, and the door was open," Sam said.
"You think theres a marshall law in effect? You think the military is here?"
"I dunno Jordan..If the military was here, we would have seen them."
"Don't let anyone leave the building. I'm going to eat breakfast."
"Jordan! This isn't the time to eat!" Sam yelled after.
"Oh yes it is! It's 7:38!"
Since no one was allowed to leave last night, many of the restuarant employees sat in chairs asleep. Jordan sat down, and an awake waiter brought him coffee and a menu.
"Thanks," was Jordan's reply.
As he sat there, a group of guests approached him.
"Excuse me! But I'd like to leave the building! I didn't come to Vegas to be locked-up in hotel!"
"Yea! Open the doors!"
"Don't make me call my lawyer!"
"I will sue you!"
"What is going on!!?"
They all began to comment and yell at Jordan. Unprepared and annoyed, Jordan replied.
"Fine!!! It was for your own safety! But if you won't shut the hell up! Get out! Sam open the doors and let these guests out!"
"Thats no way to treat guests!" yelled one of the old men.
"Do you know what kind of night I've had? I was attacked by a chinese restuarant worker, and I have to take care of the criminals that are here."
"There are criminals staying at this hotel!? And your not doing anything!?" asked a woman.
"We are taking care of it," Jordan angrily answered.
"How? Your sitting there drinking coffee waiting for breakfast! Thats not taking care of it!"
"Didn't you guys want to leave a few minutes ago? Leave this room, take a left, and you'll see the front door, it's the one with many guards by it."
They all continued to yell and complain at him, but he got up, ignored them, and went to his desk at the front, drinking his coffee.
