In which issue was the "ultimate GL prophecy" given?
Originally posted by JuntaiThe issue can be found in the tpb collection of Allan Moores DC work."After untold millenia, the enemies of the Green Lantern Corps will rise united against them. The Corp shall be destroyed to the last life form.
The planet of OA shall be as dust. Amongst the gathered foemen shall be numbered the Weaponers of Qward, Ranx the sentient City, and the unspeakable children of the white lobe. The Empire of Tears, finally released from entombment shall join the assault.
Sodam Yat, a Daxamite hailed as the ultimate Green Lantern will perish battling the Lobe-Spawn. The planet form Green Lantern Mogo will be the last to fall. As Ranx explodes a blink-bomb within his core.
And after that, there will only be the demons dancing in the ruins of OA to the rhythm of drums bound with taut blue skin."

So the GL's will inevitably fall?
All I know is, I recognized the story elements right away and brought it to everyones attention. And posted the relivent pieces.
I'm just glad Johns had the idea to look back to Moore for inspiration.
Just like he looked back to Wolfman for inspiration for Titans[and of course Crisis]
He tends to find the bright spot in the career of a hero, and runs with it/ brings that era back to life.

Well, they successfully defended Mogo, and got rid of the children, and Sodam didn't fall, even after the massive explosion.
But per the prophecy, OA, and most of the GL's, fall before Mogo and Sodom --- OA/the GL's haven't fallen just yet, so there is still time for the prophecy to be fulfilled.
