FF7 was great when I played it, mainly for the characters (not all) and the flexible (for me) system of the power stone things. Yes. It has been that long. Completely forgotten what they were called.
I didn't like Squall, that FF8 bloke though. The main protagonists in FF are usually effeminite, but this guy just pissed me off.
I think I'm the minority as I enjoyed FF9 the most.

So true. IV is my all time favorite Final Fantasy game and I am glade it is being redone for the DS.
