We already have two or three threads about this.

My apologies, I thought due to the upcoming events that a new thread was warranted.

There are already threads dedicated to the event. That's, typically, how things are done.

A civil war discussion thread, a World War Hulk discussion thread, a Sinestro Corps War discussion thread.

did black bolt have the space gem?

Last I heard, he did. Which could mean big trouble for Marvel Earth. In the right hands, they could swap out anybody they wanted with a Skrull Clone in an instant. The ramifications could be vast...

I forgot about the gem. The freaking gem could give the invasion a big advantage.

yeah, with the space gem used properly can be used to move any object through out the universe.and it can also warp or rearrange space.would it be possible to move a entire planet?
the skrulls have been after inhabiting earth for a long time.

The space gem's power is only limited by the wielder's ability to use it. If one were knowledgeable enough, you could easily translocate an entire planet.

The main thing though is that since Skrulls are shapeshifters, and now they have the space gem, they can basically transport someone from Earth, and transport a Skrull lookalike in their place with no signs of a spaceship landing or anything else of that nature that can be traced.

With the spacegem alone they could easily throw Marvel Earth into a civil war for instance... oh wait.

i hope civil war isnt a consequence of skrull workings.

gah, i hate this whole skrull thing, so much continuity possibly down the toilet. they can pretty much retcon anything now by saying "IT WAS A SKRULL!"

I hope they Skrullafy Xorneto.

I'd rather they just denied that cluster-****s existence.

See, I could live with some large overarching plot that was revealed via a retcon or some insight into the Skrull plans. IF it was done well. And there's the rub. There's a strong possibility this will get botched.

And nobody mention Xorneto. Otherwise Joe Q might look on the boards and decide: "hmmm. Skrullneto. I like it. RETCON IT!" 😛

A Skrull pretending to be Xorn pretending to be Magneto pretending to be Xorn? I like it! They should just constantly tack onto that chain.

like some some sort of insane retcon chain letter? I wonder who you could get more retcons as to who it was- Xorn or the Beyonder.

Haven't you heard? Beyonder is getting a new retcon back into a cosmic cube being. 😛

Anyway remember at the end of Illuminati #3 Xavier had a shifty look when they decided that each of them will hide an Infinity Gem and not tell anyone about it. Well seeing how Skrullabolt also has telepathy and magic on top of that Xaviers expression sort of makes sense now. Skrullabolt was probably trying to probe for the secret locations of the other gems and Xavier noticed it but never felt obligated enough to follow this up.
So the switch could have been made somewhere between Issue #1 and #2

Yeah. I doubt the switch took place all the way back when the Illuminati first went to the Skrull Homeworld.

The Ending to New Avengers # 31 and with the upcoming Skrull Invasion storyline there will be many possibilities for some of the current storylines to be rectified. Since the storyline wont be out for months my question is simple, Who do you guys think is a skrull and why?

IMO:
Skrulls
Tony Stark: Too much power and government access at his disposal puts the whole planet at a very large risk if he was a skrull, especially since he knows all registered heroes secret identities and could strike at them at will.

Captain America(dead body): Served as a way to strike at the heart of a lot of heroes.

Winter Soldier- Having him as a skrull could keep the "Bucky will -never be back" rule. Couldve be askrull to gain Nick Furys trust to find him and kill him.

Jessica Jones or baby: Used to spy on the NA.

Hawkeye/Ronin: He died and reappered coinicdentially after the events of House of M.

The President of Marvel Universe U.S- Such position of power could help him invade the U.S and if Stark wasnt a Skrull, the prez could manipulate him.

Possible good outcomes of the invasion:
- Peter Parker could claim he was abducted and reclaim his secret identity.
-SRA could be revoked and finally put an end to it.
-Real Tony Stark and captured Captain America are finally freed and the Mighty and New Avengers could combine into one unit of Avengers.

Wrong on the good points.

-Parkers identity being public knowledge is good.
-The reg act is good.
-The two separate teams are good, and it is very lame to have those two as skrulls. Which they are not. 😉

I heard someone else mention that there were clues dropped in Illuminati #1 as far as BlackBolt being the Skrull, so supposedly the switch occurred in Illuminati #1.

Thats definitely were it happened. I would like a time frame of those events to todays events.
