Yes because physical strength is all that matters in a fight. The reason why Supes and many dc chars are down played is because people ignore the fact Speed is the deciding factor in any fight whether its between two humans or a kryptonian and gamma powered behemoth.

Does it matter how they explain it? Hulk has had TP resitance for a while.

I was thinking of Empath, the old Hellion's member. He's one of the few mutants on Earth that could stop Hulk now.

My point was that many writers make telepathy almost seem chemical, which should make it almost impossible to resist.

What Hulk's doing isn't chemical really. Anyone with immense focus and will can resist TP. It's been a part of telepathic powers in general for a long time (I assume it originally came about as a way for non-psychic characters to beat people with TP).

WWHulk, don't think MM can put him down with tp or any physical attack. Hulk can just crush him when he gets hold of him, after a couple of head spinning thunderclaps.

How did he resist Selene's mental blast? He merely survived it.

Those feats aren't really relevant though, he has never done anything towards anyone of Martian Manhunter's telepathy. He was able to get through to Black Adam, not a lot of people can do that.

Black Adam's anger > Hulk's anger 🙂
