Decoding the Bible

😂

Evangelical blog ftw!

And I'll agree with inamilist. Condescension works even less on this forum than other places. You'll lose friends fast, and people will stop reading your posts.

what dont agree with is the fact that you seem to utterly and completely believe in your interpretation as opposed to looking at it as a theory or hypothesis.

the way you read it in the bible it is an hypothesis and now you see the real thing, although there are six more ways of explaining this hypothesis.

Oh great, another JIA.

johannes, why do you believe in the bible?

Gen 2: 8 and the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden.
Therefore: Eden is NOT a garden, but a “garden was planted” in Eden. This garden being your five senses or your brain/face. Eastward is your face, where all of your senses meet in your brain. East is the front of your body.

Holy leap of logic batman!!!

Interesting interpretation, but I'm not sure how you're getting "trees = senses."

I think that you're reading the story and trying to force it to fit to your interpretation.

(This isn't aimed at you, but I like how anyone who takes Genesis at face value is merely parroting what another person has told him or her.)

Ok, stop making threads on decoding the bible. Use this one now for all decoding needs.

The Tree of Life is a mottif similiar to the Cross.

Ask him in PMs. That's what I did to JIA, and I got an answer!

It is a relevant question to the assumption that the thread is based on.

But PMs is the only way you get an answer.

I am not asking this question in a personal way. I am questioning the volidity of the primous of the thread.

I don't believe the Bible asks you to believe in the Bible. Does it?

Believe in me! For I am the almighty BOOK! I smite all other BOOKS! Bow down before my great BOOKYNESS! I will destroy all for I am the BIBLE! RAAAAAAWWWWRRRRR!!!

No, it's good like it is. But I'll have to read it later on. Section by section, metaphor by metaphor.

Though the water flowing out of Eden (Eve) could mean menstruation (river) that gave life.

And I have read that semen is symbolic for spirit in many pagan religions.

indeed Eve has the meaning of life giver.

the bible is a book of symbols and if you decode the bible it must fit right through the bible at any given place like a puzle.
for instance; water is the biblical symbol for spirit, in fact any liquid is in a different manner spirit.
for instance if you read; he was baptized in/with water it has the meaning of baptizm with spirit.
if you read the bible you can try that.

well, the things i have posted here is an example that the bible has a true meaning if we can decode or understand it, to just read the bible doesnt make sense at all, it contradics itself all the time.
the bible is a manual for the human body, it fully explains the human and his future and his past, which is essensial to understand if you want to understand yourself.
in follow up posts i hope to convince you of that.

But what if the bible is not the truth, and you are just reading into the bible what you want to see?

The Bible does have meanings as long as we try to put it into an objective context and understand that certainwords have double meanings as well. Furthermore, nowhere does it say in the bible that things should be taken litteraly. Infact, it says quite the opposite. Jesus purposely spoke in parables in the bible.
