Yeah right, you were being owned long before D-Day. The largest amounts of German casualty's were at the east front not the west one. All the west did was speed things up. Besides it's not like you could have moved your troops out of the western area's to the east, even without an invasion from the west a threat of such an invasion continued to exist.
