America: You don't love it or want to leave it.
But you wouldn't mind giving it an extreme make over.
On the 4th of July, you'll fly a freak flag instead...
And give Uncle Sam a sucker punch!

You Are 11% American

You're as American as Key Lime Tofu Pie

You Are 51% American

Most times you are proud to be an American.
Though sometimes the good ole US of A makes you cringe
Still, you know there's no place better suited to be your home.
You love your freedom and no one's going to take it away from you!

Pretty bad quiz. Unanswerable in many instances.

Don't deny your patriotism, Bardock.

I hate America and I live here.

I am German.

It's certainly not a fad to hate America's policies etc. That's been happening for ages.
Hating American people though, yes seems to be a fad; mainly due to the fact that the Americans we get to see, are the sort of flag loving, freedom singing, Christians. Plus, another problem is that Americans don't tend to travel much, I mean I think it's only something like 10% that have ever been out of America. this is frustrating for people in Britain, and around the world, as America is a nation with an overwhelming say as to what happens in the world.

You Are 8% American

Good riddens, though!

Travel for Americans isn't as easy as it is for Europeans. By chance, do you actually have the report that says how many Americans have left the US? I tried looking for it, but I wasn't able to find it. I'd like to find out just how many actually have left as compared to other relatively isolated countries like Australia.

Australians are not isolated. Where did that come from?

As for Europeans, they travel to America, Australia, Asia and South America very often. One of the most popular destinations for Britons, amongst others is Thailand.

I reside in UK, but this year so far, I have been in Amsterdam, Athens, Zürich, Belgrade and now I'm in Montreal in Canada.

Last year I was in Rome, Paris, Prague, Istanbul (but only briefly), and year before then Ann Arbor, MI, USA, Barcelona and Lisbon.

And I don't travel THAT much, compared to my best friend who has spent time in Cairo, Santiago and Nicosia last year. 3 Continents in a year. And for her this is usual behavior, as is for number of Europeans.

This kind of travel is rather usual for Europeans, and Australians. (as well as other)
I don't know where you got the idea that Australians are isolated.

Americans are not isolated, and that is certainly not an excuse for majority of Americans not actually seeing world other than America.

True, 'tis a good thing too, they allow us reasonable amounts of freedom and we can shit on them.
That's why I am moving to......well, you know... 😉

I was joking when I said I hated America, and I can't believe that some people according to people on this thread don't like American's because we don't travel as often. That's just stupid.

I never encountered negativity when I was in England a couple years ago. I had a great time and hope to return one day.

That is meant that if one does not travel, then that person knows little to nothing of other cultures and places - which makes those people look bad.

Its why some Americans who do travel, tend to pretend to be Canadians, so they're not outed by others.

For example, while we were in Morocco we met these few guys on holiday there - not only did they stood out ridiculously, but they tried to pay with American Dollars, and were stunned when learned that in Morocco they don't actually accept them!
Shock-horror!

Anyway, that is what is meant by ''Americans not traveling''.

tell you what. when I visit England, I will go in with a positive atttitude. maybe I'll pretend to be french.

No that's not what you call American, that's what you call an idiot.

and it's not subject to Americans only. I work in the hotel business, and I deal with travellers from all over the world. I deal with idiots left and right.

It came from the fact that we don't have six countries forty miles away at all times. When you can hop on a train and go to France, it's not that difficult to travel. Hence why Europeans go to more countries. Now, like I said, does anyone actually have any information on how often people actually leave the country?
