Electronic music, yes.
Sorry, where did you get those? I wasn't aware there was an official list.

Well, you would think that.

Look at your top 10 songs for every single year since 1990...how many of those are electronica/Drill n'Bass/dance?(Which all three of those are sometimes grouped into a major category called techno...even some R and B music can be grouped into techno....the eye of the beholder my friend.)
Techno/dance, a fair few, many years ago. Lately, very few.
'Drill 'n' Bass', I'd hazard a rough guess at zero.
Techno is actually a specific sound here. Electronic music would be a catch-all term, though.

Case in point...techno is more popular, generally, in europe than in america....
Well, Europe is another matter. The UK isn't massive on it.

Really though...it was all a form of serious sarcasm. (I was poking fun of the idea of "not knowing" UK culture.)
Nice, nice.

It was at that point I realized that he was incapable of actual debate and had to be right at all costs. Even now he's spinning things. *shrugs* its the nature of Air Conditioners to change the environment around them.
Still waiting on the proof that I was attacking you, since your posts were and are packed full of insults toward me, WHILE I'm on ignore no less.
Cowardly, to the fullest, and you still have the nerve to suggest you actually proved anything when multiple people have since called you out on your bs and you replied by attacking THEM, such as Chillmeistergen.

Cres, you're a coward. You were beaten and rightly so, you made the utterly preposterous assumption that culture can be confined to books, and even though you've never been here, you still felt that you could tell all of us how books are champion to personal experience.
Your argument's a joke and your attitude's pathetic, it's not arrogant of AC to be annoyed at you, purposefully weaseling your way out of an argument; I'm annoyed and it's not my argument.
RJ, nothing's "getting" to me, but what I'm curious about is the fact that he's still addressing me, insulting me and discussing me while I'm on ignore. That's all. If he's not "done" and still continues to address me, defeating the purpose of having me on ignore, why do so?
He chose to walk away from the debate, and anyone who reads the interaction fully can see why he did that, so I'm not gonna spend any more time stating the obvious reason in that he quite simply got exposed and chickened out, if he wishes to address me, the correct thing to do would be to un-ignore me.

Have you actually read the thread? If so, you'd know he's talking bs and this isn't the case.
Why must that be true anyway? Because YOU hate being wrong?

Originally posted by chillmeistergenThis coming from a dick head like you I'll take as a compliment.

Originally posted by chillmeistergenAnd that's all it was, an argument. It wasn't a debate it was long passed that. So you think that sticking around and devolving more and more into a flame war even after several people expressed an interest in the argument stopping would have been better?
it's not arrogant of AC to be annoyed at you, purposefully weaseling your way out of an argument;
Originally posted by chillmeistergenI thought we had come to an understanding. Did the Air conditioner promise you a blow job? Is that why you're suddenly up in arms about this?
I'm annoyed and it's not my argument.
And here I was thinking you weren't as annoying as the Blowhard.
Originally posted by Alpha Centauriwe all hate being wrong, deep down. some are, however, more easily coerced into admitting they are/were wrong. I have never seen you do so, BTW, and dont take that the wrong way.

Exactly, you chose to take the childish route of saying "No, you haven't travelled anywhere or learned anything, you're a liar.", becuase you knew that it was a cheap way to avoid the fact that I had the more relevant experience in different cultures.

I have admitted it, and it's not arrogant of me to say that I'm not wrong often, because I make sure I don't speak unless I know what I'm on about. Even in this thread, I concede that Cresh can name more English dialects than I can name American ones, so what?
Go back and read the thread and then tell me you actually agree with what he's saying. I never attacked him, I cornered him, exposed him and he got so frustrated that I was calmly schooling him that he ran away. See for yourself, man.

You are right...But I heard that there is a revivial for the Electronic Music "Super Genre" in the UK...I think I read that on Pandora.

I think I confused the two...maybe it is electronica that I was actually thinking of...and yes..."Electronic Music" would be a catch all...that sounds much better.

Not massive on it? I thought the UK was the craddle of Electronic music...I can name a lot of platinum artists who fit under "electronic music" who are from the UK but none to hardly any from anywhere else(Ryuichi Sakamoto is considered the father of electronic music...I think.)

I've been to many parts of America multiple times, Canada, Spain, Portugal, Australia, Scotland, Bermuda.
All for lengths at a time.
He's never been to England, and he's claiming he knows a shitload about British culture simply because he's read books about history, population stats and can name a few landmarks.
