God only hopes someone with brains makes it one.

I'm not accepting it with all these Skrulls running around. Seems like a suspicious time. 😖hifty:

either that or another thor clone of starks, it would seem strange for Thor, still rebuilding his pantheon to concern himself with Hulk i mean come on

I don't believe its a Skrull

It's Thor, Skrull etc wouldn't make any sense whatsoever.
the Thor-love is getting the better of people. Red thumped Uatu, what is Thor (or even Odin) when compared to a Watcher?

Pak stated his (and I presume quite a few others at Marvel) opinion on Odinforce Thor being less powerful than Worldbreaker Hulk, so even approaching it from that perspective it makes sense that Red would be far in-excess of Thor's abilities.

That would explain Red's ability to wield Thor's hammer...

So you were just blowing smoke?

i don't take writers opinions as face value, Uatu is a pacifist, im quite sure had he been more aggressive he would have dealt with hulk, at no time do i think he legimately was worried. what there trying to accomplish is create hype around the character by offering low end showings of others..it would make no sense for a skyfather because technically that's what thor is now to belittle himself with a hulk problem especially with the whole skrull invasion. your telling me he sees the Red hulk as a bigger threat? Be serious. That hammer could also have been a technological dupe. I just think the writers are attempting to create an unstoppable aura around this guy to sell books and have us asking who's next

Thor is a natural choice for a top tier to intervene in a "Hulk rampage" and yes, Red 'Hulk' is most certainly just the type of opponent that Thor would relish engaging.

The Skrull Invasion is too cerebral, too much stealth and strategy, Thor's not the man for that kind of thing. Present him with a big (Red) target to smash away at with his mallet and he's there.

anyway, we don't really know how this is inter-acting with the wider Secret Invasion - IronMan's armour's supposed to be sabotaged iirc, yet he's seemed perfectly fine so far.

Hulk (that is the real OG one) clearly has far greater power than Thor, always has had and always will... it's "infinite". all that it requires is a 'reason' to get sufficiently angry/stressed/determined... very much a plot determined power.

Thor, skyfather or not (and really, what's he shown? reviving Asgard? taking a Destroyer beam? - Hulk took that too, when Maestro was animating The Destroyer), just doesn't compare to someone who has the power to smack a Watcher on his arse and almost KO him.

I'm not disputing that Uatu didn't put up a fight, in fact I'd expect a rematch to be a stomp in Uatu's favour (be it a strength test or just Power Cosmic/Energy/Matter manipulation) but that doesn't take away from the fact that Watchers don't get rocked that easily, they're cosmic entities... maybe not on the same level as Celestials or Galactus, but not far off.

Hmm valid reasoning sugar, however i just didn't interpret it that way, don't get me wrong im impressed by the Red Hulks recent showings..those are feats i would like 2 have seen from Sentry..im just not buying into that a relative newcomer could so easily dispatch these seasoned warriors. Especially Thor. Why not simply release the hammer? Is it not his 2 control? The enchantment just seemed 2 easy 2 overcome imo simply by jumping. it's borderline absurdity. I do agree on 1 thing that this is Thors type of fight, i just perceive and underlying reason 4 him being there like maybe there's some clandestine group or person manipulating events and i haven't completely ruled out a clone. Hopefully the writers create a different avenue of approach when dealing with the next issue

Kay...

So no evidence if it not being the real Thor.

The hand beam went straight through Hulk...

I think Thor might not have had the choice of letting go, because Red caught him off-guard with the orbit leap, Thor sort of reflexively held on, until he got his wits back and questioned how Red was pulling him, but at that time, I think Red was already gripping Thor's hand (iirc).

Magneto, Surfer and Juggernaut have all managed to manipulate Mjolnir to differing degrees. Juggernaut rode the return on it to whack Thor, Magneto levitated it away from Thor's reach and Surfer encased it in a PC bubble ... I strain to suspend disbelief more when I see Red clocking Uatu than when I see him pawning Thor.

one went through, another - the eyebeam - hit his chest but didn't do anything. iirc, he also used Destroyer's eyebeam to destroy some other enemy just after that...

Fudge it. I can't find the scans, and either way, when the hell has Destroyer had handbeams that even approach the level of his eyebeams?

Since always. Duh.
