I am thinking about creating a dark age-ish roleplay, but that is about as far as my plans have reached so far. It would involve superpowers, vicious villains and a lot of larger scale battles.

I just can not think of a plot or the players position in the roleplay yet. Which is one of the reasons I am posting this teaser. I want ideas or perhaps even co-operative creators of the roleplay 🙂

I'm in 😛
I could help developing it too.

i could also help if needed. i mean all i do on weekdays is work on writing related stuff(mostly a graphic novel script)

No one looks cool while drinking coffee except Chuck Norris

What I would have in mind, is having players join two different sides of the conflict. Or even 3. Such as the antagonist side, the protagonist side, and a renegade side, perhaps.

The renegade side could take part in guerrilla military strategies, while the two others would have huge armies at their sides. The heroes could take part in controlling those armies, and also fight during the battle. Same thing for the villains. Powers should have a clear limit and not be over powered. You could also have some racial differences, such as Elves for example. But then again, right now I'm leaning towards more of The Lord of The Rings O.o

Do you want to completely create a new world, or use a world already created, like Tolkien's before Nirnaeth Arnodiad?

The newly arising question if that'd be the case; Why is the renegade group fighting? The heroes would fight for good, while the villains obvious fights for evil.

well if you do want to make a new world i would be of great assistance in that department

Just to avoid missunderstandings. I am not the one creating it 😛

What is evil and what is good? 😛
They are just two perspectives. And there are always people that would oppose both perspectives. The third faction could just be another race, obviously outnumbered by other races or armies, but obviously better in individual skill and abilities.

I was thinking more along the line of a holy war were the two armies have different religions and see each other as a major threat. Kind of like the Crusades. I wouldn't put too much focus on magic or demons or anything more like normal people in an epic conflict to keep the opposing religion from spreading.

Well, religiously fanatical villains always scores, worshipping the dark lord and all those things. A third faction when you put it like that isnt a bad idea at all. Takes a little more work than just focusing on two, but could very much so work.

Yes, perhaps, but we should make the religions a little bit more mystic. We could have a whole map with different cities made, and each side will have to use strategy to try to take over as much as possible, or get to the religious capitol of the other side. And we should be reasonable, such as a small army wouldn't be able to withstand an army that outnumbers it one to ten.

Dark lord? No; nothing like that. Just two people who have different religious beliefs in a struggle to destroy the other before it spreads much like the Christians and Muslims during the Crusades.

what works even better is if the good guys arent really that good either, but they think they but there really only slighty better then the bad guys

Read about The Alamo, hun 😉

But that was rare 😛

Santa Anna is a retard, honestly. The soldiers weren't even prepared for battle at all, and panicked and shot each other.
