Yeah I am thinking about it, but it's just that the villains will be stronger by default. That's why I am uncertain. But then again, the main villain will not be playable, and he will be the "big boss". Then again, the other bad guys could just be "hero"-strength, only with more soldiers at disposal.

I am not familiar with Aztec religion
It'll help make your RPG, stories, or whatever you do further down the line if you take time to read about ancient religions and cultures. But really to tell you anything about the Aztec religion or any ancient religion would take waaaay too many pages but it comes down mainly on the big ones Tezcalpoca (I think I spelt it right) who is an omnipotent power and pretty much they would sacrifice virgins in order to allow life to continue.
It wasn't a sacrifice to please the gods but to ensure the further so that their culture would continue to grow and become numerous and for a time that was true until the Spanish arrived and they brought with them diseases the Aztec had no immunity too and thus their entire culture came crumbling down within months (or years...I can't remember).
Some of the greatest stories of our time draw upon ancient religions like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and even the Matrix (but that's more or less based mainly on the book of Revelation of the Bible).

It runs around sacrifice. The followers of the religion believed that blood and sacrifice must be made as a 'gift' to the gods, so that every week or month or so, they sacrificed a great amount of people on top of their religious structures, which were pretty much pyramid shaped.
Wrong; they very rarely sacrificed to please the gods.

What they taught me in school and partially college is that they were, although a great civilization, a brutal one. They loved war and ignited it whenever possible. If a person is chosen to be sacrificed, he was honored and accepted it. That's what interests me the most about them, that they weren't afraid of death in war or sacrifice.

Someone saw Apocalypto one too many times. 😛
So how does the baby breathe when it gets out of the embryo? The first breaths of a baby are pretty much uncontrolled and it wouldn't understand its in a watery environment, and choke on the water. That aint cool 😛
Of course you could adjust an oxygen mask to the baby's face the second it comes out of the embryo =O
But that would be difficult.
