You know what's a abad showing? thanos not being able to hold onto the power he always steals from others becuz he has an inferiority complex. After all he was an ugly outcast mutie amongst his people. They way you seek to demean every feat DS has is rediculous. You are not to be taken seriously. And even tho I have my disputes with some people. NO one and I mean absolutely no one here ever wants to agree with you and they certainly don't take anything you have to say with any seriousness. If you take superman out of the equation, becuz DC sucks his dick all the time and just doesn't make logical sense, Then DS really pwns 3 billion Supermen. It's just that simple. And Thanos never had the heart. It wasnt' his plan. The heart had him. I could deconstruct every feat of thanos to mean pretty much nothing. And i'm sure you can do the same for DS. so let's just let it go. I like DS more than Thanos. You Like Thanos and don't like DS at all. CeS LA Vie.

And same holds true for those with mostly good showings.
It just seems the most fair way, barring special circumstances (say if a character only has 3 showings to their name).

Of course Darkseid has some great showings under his belt, and I'm sure there are a lot of writers who believe him to be above Superman -- but the fact remains that he only has one absolute clean physical win on Superman, and even that wasn't a knock out, at best a TKO.
I'll be honest, I don't fully understand the PIS/CIS examples you guys are giving me. It seems to be a rather disingenuous rule when debating, though, as anyone can just call someone's example PIS and be done with it.

Of course, the next step in track to honesty about Superman, Astro, is you admitting that these CONSISTENT showings over the c ourse of decades and under multiple writers are actually indicative of Superman current level of power and formidabililty.
Acknowledging Superman's explcit increases in power level and general trend of increasing feat levels and relative formidablilty woudn't be a bad thing, either, as well as the fact that his power level is *clearly* dynamic anf fluctuates based partially on his mental state/subconsious superhuman holding back reflex ever since the Byrne era.
Darkseid specifically stated that Superman's strength was higher than ever in Apokolips Now.
That's what it would require--actually accepting Superman's continuity ,feats and the way his varying powerlevel factor works as is instead of ignoring/downplaying anything that you think gives Superman too much of an advantage over your favorite characters.
I know that would mean acknowledging the fact that Superman is more powerful than Hal and physically above Orion, but hey, If I can accept that Captain America trumps Batman after years of arguing otherwise as a Batman fanatic, then even you can do it, Astro.
