If you go back a page or two, one user explained that the creatures are some type of organisms that I believe take over someone's body & makes it their own & improves it in a way it wants to. Something like that. Think about the symbiotes from Spider-Man, just a little different.
I read about that, the idea seems very extensive, and if what he reported is true, then I wonder how they will be able to tell that back story in a movie that is going to be from the point of view of some person running around with a HandyCam.

Well, we know it's gonna be big & mean but the question is if the design is worth a shit. If it doesn't look remotely scary or monstrous, I'm not seeing this film. Period.
Yeah, and it's hard to imagine a new creature that wouldn't look close to Godzilla, Kong, or other giant creatures as people have been saying. J.J. Abrams is good at getting people excited IMO, but his follow through is usually disappointing. Take LOST for instance, it's just getting ridiculous. The show has lost its punch. Nothing is ever explained without something else confusing taking it's place. I have a feeling the final season of LOST won't blow my mind as I hoped it would. At this point I don't even care what happens in LOST.

I think we could; that is besides the point though, as we're not "arguing". Bingo, "stupid" was the point, we're not trying to offend each other, incase you couldn't tell with the material we used, jackass.

Seeing the monster will be a small aspect of the movie, it's being done through a camcorder and a small budget, don't expect a dazzle of SFX. This isn't going to be your cookie-cutter monster film.
not single monster according this, and this is a good site

That article states:
"Expect an old-fashioned monster movie retold in a very modern Blair Witch sort of way - but with a twist. You see that giant monster that emerges from the ocean to begin laying waste to New York City ... it didn't come alone.
Much of the movie will revolve around the characters fleeing for their lives, not from the big one stomping the city, but from the "raptor-like" smaller versions hunting them down."
Sounds like Godzilla, the one with Mathew Broderick. Not too original if you ask me. I guess it could be very cool if, say whoever is holding the camera in the beginning gets killed and then someone else finds the camera and uses it so you get their point of view for a while, then they drop the camera and someone else etc. etc. etc. Finally it ends up in the hands of a military organization so we get to see some top secret stuff, then in the end the tape is lost only to be found by J.J. Abrams!!! 😱
