Of course he is a precrisis kryptonian. I have always said he was. DS against PC kryptonians is always a win in his favor. unless you can show me a pcK beating DS down, Superboy loses.

Darkseid NEVER proved able to defeat Pre-Crisis Superboy/Superman, EVER, and in fact AVOIDED facing him in combat.

Superboy Prime is for all intents and purposes a young god coming into his own. He has lost whatever moral compass he once had and gone over the edge into hulking surly teenager with near infinite power. Superboy Prime = Darth Vader of the DCU. He has gone from being the epitome of Earth's champions to one of the most powerful villains in the universe. And a damn scary one at that. Darkseid plays the cool, calm, and collected game as a mastermind, letting his weirdly named henchmen do all the dirty work while Superboy Prime has done MORE than get his hands dirty. In a single act of demolishing the barriers of reality to escape "Paradise" Superboy Prime did more damage with longer lasting reprecussions than ANYTHING that Darkseid even dreamed of doing in his long career of "evil". It took 2 Supermen to dive through a red sun to merely weaken Superboy Prime to a point where he could be subdued. It only took 1 Superman to bring Darkseid to his knees.
