What high showings are you talking about that involve one on one combat? And DS claiming to have near infinite power mean little, unless you believe that Dr. Doom is the most powerful mortal of all(which he says all the time).

And Seid possesing NEARLY inifinite power, is in no way, an exaggerated claim. The term doesn't mean he's truly omnipotent, or anything, it just means he has a TON of power, at his disposal. Look at him balancing the Source, with his power(albeit, along side Highfather), him creating Stayne, and him destroying the universe, by being pulled out of the timeline(which was stated to be with his power), and you'll see what I mean.
