I got all the comics I wanted this week. I saw this and decided to pick it up.
It was OK... I mean, they killed off three people already. Off to a good start.

I can't wait till Hulkion takes on Supes in the next one though.

Yes, it's unexciting for the most part. But I see it as building up to something. Whether it will be worth it or not, remains to be seen.

DS actually looks good with a cape, interestingly enough.

One thing I found interesting, is the hint that Mr. Miracle's control of the ALE is how he does his insane escapes, and that it can warp reality. The rune circle that signifies it's use was a nice touch.

The shadowed figure standing in the background was clearly Infinity Man.

Whats Darkseids role in this. I know he is supposed to be the mastermind behind countdown and he has the ALE but everything just seems so random. When Orion had it , everything he did was blatantly obvious. Whats the point of a scheme when you already have one of the most powerful weapons in the universe.

Because he only has a portion of one of the most powerful weapons in the universe.
