I do believe there are now individual Source Walls dividing each of the 52 Universes in DC.

Why did Barda explode? 😑
It seemed like some sort of New Gods funeral ceremony -- [as none of the New Gods that were gathered around her corpse, seem surprised by her going *poof*].

Also, I liked Metron belittling NewGod tech.
"Your scanners and computers leave much to be desired." lol

I think they let Barda return to The Source....that's what was going on there.

Starlin and cosmic stuff works. And I really can't get enough of Darkseid these days. Good times so far.

Is that Infinity Man at the right bottom corner?

Could be. I think his armor looked different though.

Why is Thor there?

Imo it's him.....

Thor's there to prove that Source Wall>Asgardians. 313 😛

IMO, that's not Infinity Man on the wall. Since I've got a suspicion that the Forever people and IM are involved in the various killings.

Orion still doesn't have a good writer, but the rest of the story is pretty good. The overall mystery is captivating. Anyone else think that DS refering to the Anti-Life Enity is a sign that it will be back? And what could be powerful enough to **** with the overall cosmos so much that Metron's chair sensors are off?

According to Metron there's nothing wrong with the chair, it's the universe that's messed up. The guy's got real confidence.

I'd tend to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. He is basically DC's Watcher. If he says the cosmos is ****ed up, I'll believe him for now.

........Then again, if he's smoking some good shit in that pipe of his, maybe we should start ignoring him. 😆

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but in the back of the newest New Gods issue, in the DCNation, he mentions the fall of the 4th world, and the rise of the 5th.

Like a new status quo, to go along with the new status quo in magic?

Yeah things are getting strange, also note Takion not being able to sense the New Gods dying. He 'should' be able to since he has a special connection to The Source/God. He has also tried to channel The Source but its not talking to him. Anyone know what some of big guns like the Phantom Stranger is up to right now? be nice to see what he's doing at a time like this

I remember that. Darkseid said the 4th world is destined to fall and give rise to the 5th world. Maybe the death of the new gods is a universal house-cleaning.

Check Shadowpact if you want to know about Phantom Stranger. They have all the magic stuff.

Well Anti-Monitor's out and about.

He was my first guess, but I think he's busy with the Sin Corp war, or if this is after, recovering. Plus, how could he break Takion's connection to the Source?

There really aren't enough pieces into place yet to form a good hypothesis of the main villian behind it all. I know because I decided the other day to scour recent books, and some DC archive stuff, to see if anything fit. I felt like being the guy who guesses it right.

No such luck.

Who are the Monitors after in Countdown? Do we know that yet? Or is it just the vague imbalance in the multiverse?

AM is as good a guess as any, but there's really a lack of entities that powerful outside of him....at least ones that are active enough in DC canon to make them a villian of this. My best idea is that it's someone with possession of the ALE, in which case they could be at any power level and don't need to be at AM's level.

The son of the source is behind all of this.

It'll be some established character...

Batman, Thanos, Black Adam?

Yeah. But the revelation will be who the source or his son is.

Infinity man is the guy killing.

Don't know who's pulling his strings but.
