Two problems with that:
1) Superman has been sun-dipping for 8 hours, making this so-called "point" irrelevant, considering you didn't even factor that in.
2) Thor would be KO'd WAY, WAY before he could even mount an offensive strategy. There goes that argument.

Well, Thor isn't Adam Warlock. Effective use of the power gem is based off of the user's intelligence and capacity for the knowledge on how to properly wield it. That's why their feats with it are not interchangeable.
Based on what WM Thor w/ the PG actually showed, he wasn't/isn't portrayed more powerful than an 8 hour sun dipped Superman would be.

You probably don't even know the arc in which Thor used the Power Gem.
Your opinion is nothing to be taken seriously. All you know about Superman is that he beat up Darkseid a few times, and that's about it. 🙂
Other than that: nothing.
In his WM state of mind, he'd be in no position to use the gem properly or effectively. Even if he could, however, he'd still be taken out quite easily.

1) It doesnt matter if superman has sundipped for whatever hours when he is fighting someone that can take any punishment he can dish out and he is fighting someone that has enough power to down a celestial and make galactus run and scream in pain.
2) How is superman koing thor when other powerhouses wasnt even registering with thor. He was beating the hell out of everyone.

What you don't seem to understand is the fact that Superman's speed trumps (or makes useless) any kind of offensive strategy Thor could possibly conjure up.
Thor gets the PG taken from his forehead before he knows what hits him, and then it's KO ftw. 🙂

You want to know something. Didnt superman fly wonderwoman to the sun and tried to throw her in there. He was close enough to the sun to get a major upgrade but guess what happened. He still got owned by a wonder woman that was holding back. 😛
