I'm sorry to tell you this... but more likely then not, 90% of the people on this forum have no idea what you're talking about. 😂

And Xianghua is ultimate button-mash character. Almost all of her moves cancel into low attacks...

allow me to fall into the 10% group then 🙂

when you have an advantage on block, that means the move you used caused the person blocking to be forced to continue blocking for said amount of frames, allowing you to retaliate safely.. also known as "Safe on Block".. moves that aren't safe on block are usually considered garbage (but not always)

whiffs are attacks that miss.. you can purposefully whiff or whiff by mistake

the numbers are directions on the d-pad or stick (if you look at your numpad on the keyboard, you can take a good guess.. 2KB would be down kick , then vertical)

A - Horizontal , B - Vertical , K - Kick , G - Guard

easy enough, yes?

Also, button mashers are extremely punishable in soul calibur series... learn your guard impacts people.. thwart the mashers! ;D

My problem with Guard Impacts is that I try so hard to do them, so when I finally get one right I go "OMG, I managed it, never expected that, so cool...:" and then my advantage is far gone because I was just so shocked that I managed it so I wasted my precious second where I could attack.

Sophita imo is not only the best looking SoulCalib 4 girl but also the most powerful, i can do things with her i can only do with Nightmare

Sophitia has the best character model, yeah.

Ehh, matter of opinion. I think Seong Mi-na's adorable. Sohpitia's just... big.

Seung Mina is the hottest, and my favorite women in the game...

But, I find as far as character models that Sophitia is the best.

Which one is the chick with the massive cans?

She looks awesome.

Well, that'd be, uh... Sophitia, Ivy, Taki, and Setsuka.

Which leaves Xianghua, Seong Mi-na, Amy, Cassandra, and Talim.

So nearly half of them.

The one with the really really massive ones.

The dominatrix looking chick.

EDIT: Ivy is her name.

Yeah, I'm really not sure how that outfit of hers doesn't just snap off whenever she so much as takes a step...

Tested that out with her armor breaks. As far as I can tell, 90% of those straps are just for show... she's a bad, bad girl. 😉

I go to an arcade and play Soulcalibur 3 sometimes. I enjoy playing Nightmare because of his huge sword. 😉 I suck though. Many people have come up to "challenge" me and I've lost every time, except to an 8 year old once, I think. ... Yeah.

I once got jipped by an eight year old when I lived in Oakland. This little black kid ambles into the store and he bets me that he can beat me in some fighting game for one dollar. We play and he beats me the first time and asks if I want to play again for another dollar... if I win I get my dollar back. We play again and I beat his ass. He doesn't give me my dollar back... he wants a chance to keep it. So we play again, and again, and again, and again.. and I win every single time and the little ****er never gave me my money.

😐

That's sad. 😐

You're not supposed to bet against little kids. 😐

...Wait, so you let a little 8 year old mug you?

My God.

Sorry for double post.

GI's rely on anticipation, like if you know that they'll be going low, do a low GI. Or during, at a particular point, if you know it'll be low, block say the first 2 attacks then the 3rd string you do a GI, obviously these are basic sets for GI, and you can't always do a GI during strings, because some characters are just simply safe during it while others their's a small opening. However, GI's aren't always the best things to do, they are just parts of it, learning how to sidestep to punish, or to land CH's or beat out strings when they are vulnerable is a must in SC.

Obviously, it's a no brainer that characters like Mitsu need to get into mid/close range to be very effective, while characters like Ivy obviously want to keep it further away. Mitsu is obviously more effective when he can get in close and get into his 2K range, because Mitsu as a character has one of the best lows in the entire SC cast.

Not to mention, he has arguably one of the most powerful Wake Up games in SC, and SC4 is really no exception, considering this has always been one of this strongest points in any SC version of Mitsu.

Also, to some peeps here, button mashers will never, ever beat a solid SC player. Because seriously, if people just button mashed during Tournies, I'd of taken 1st place finishes 24/7, however, their are really, really, really good SC players out there, and button mashing will get you nowhere fast, learn to anticipate, punish, ss, ch accordingly, and know the distance of which your character is extremely effective.

Frame-Wise, this game was slower then the Tekken Series, since Tekken had 8-frame attacks while SC only had 10 or higher (only exception is Tekken 6 now, since the fastest moves are only 10-Frames, which is complete scrub garbage).

<3 Cassandra.

Ivy's infinite.. (shows how balanced the game is btw ;D )
