Are cartoons made for Children ?

I'm half tempted to say that anyone who says yes is a pedophile... simply because some of the cartoons out there are clearly not intended for children.

Most cartoons are aimed at kids, yes. Some (Venture Bros, for example), clearly aren't. Watch whatever amuses you, is my advise; no reason to be embarassed.

what about cartoons specifically target at adults (south park, simpsons) or those that target both communites (spongebob, foster's house of imaginary firends) or those that target groups that are not defined by age (anime)

Cartoons are a type of media, I hardly suspect that an entire form of media can be targeted at a particular audience of people

I remember a comment from one of those involved with Sailor Moon how she was surprised when she went to talk to an audience and expectd mostly young teen girls but met an audience with a wide age range of both genders.

The intresting thing is you got TMNT and Transformaers in CGI and cartoon . To be honest i got told off for watching cartoons last time .
Now we have dvd as our new format people want to collect there classics (Looney toones) and watch them again and again .

Both Naruto and DBZ in there original, Japanese forms, are not really good for kids. They have bloood, Naruto has LOTS of blood. People literally walk around the entire episode with giant shurikens protruding from there back 😐

Naruto is also shite.

People who watch anime and all that rubbish are adults who never grew up.

The only cartoons not meant for kids or dick heads are South Park and The Simpsons
