im not missing anything. i know full well that it is a kids show. i still think its retarded. and thats not necessarily true anyways. the old beast wars and transformers armada cartoons showed he autobots getting there asses kicked all the time. there were many episodes that showed autobots dying and episodes ending with the autobots straight out retreating for their lives.

No one complains that Batman, Superman, or the Gargoyles won all the time in their shows.

none of those shows stated in their narrations that the bad guys were so relentless and so dastardly that they kicked the good guys ass a ton of times before they went down. according to the other EU surrounding the clone wars as well as what the movie state the amount of jedi by the time the war ended were far fewer because jedi on the front lines were getting killed left and right. the cartoon does not reflect this. how can there be "heroes on both sides" when the big cheeses on the evil side are a bunch of morons who lose every fight?

and before you again press the fact that its a kids show take note of the older clone wars cartoon. that cartoon showed multiple jedi killed in just one episode and it did that a couple of times. it showed anakin ]barely surviving against ventress and clearly utilizing his inner demons to achieve victory. it showed entire clone armies being wiped out in minutes by droid superiority. we saw grevious as not only a cold villain but a badass fighter who not only slew jedi like it was nobodies business but played with their fear as well?

when have we seen any of that in this new cartoon? theyre both children cartoons but one has a more accurate display of whats actually going on then the other.

Internet research, my dear boy!

These numbers have to be kept track of, after all. Every one is unique to one single product, because businesses operate using these reference numbers instead of names.

That and some random kid wouldn't have a copy of the game this early and get away with posting a video or anything like that.

Hard for someone to have a copy of a game that doesn't yet exist.

In the Rookies episode that GK mentioned, the Clones get owned pretty hard. That episode is more about them fighting back.

There's pretty much the same thing in a lot of kids shows, the heroes can lose fights, but by the end they'll come back to win because that has to happen. I haven't seen any of these in a long time, but I think Batman and Superman lost some fights early on to come back, same as the Transformers.

I agree.

How do you know the game doesn't exist yet? Are you one of the staffs at Epic? No I don't think you are. It could be that it does exist now and it won't be revealed to the public until Epic's next press conference or whatever.

even if it does exist the box art wouldnt be out yet. and gears of war 2 just came out last september and theyve only had like one downloadable content map pack for it so i dont think theyre done focusing on gears 2.

If it exists, it's in an early state of development. It would not be anywhere near being completed enough for boxart. And at any rate, Gears 2 just came out in November.

People don't seem to realize that work on a game runs right up to the actual release of the game itself. Most games don't even get printed (aka the actual discs made) until a few days or a weekish (something like that, I can't remember precisely but I do know it's VERY close) before they're set to be released.

So, how do I know? Because I have a better handle on how those things work than you do, that's how.

Valve didn't give that much DLC for L4DI and we're about to get L4D2.

Transformers is a bit of a different beast. Characters on both sides get killed off for the sake of keeping the cast a manageable size (Beast Wars and the limited processing power and space for character models) as well as purely to sell toys (every Transformers series, period).

The Clone Wars miniseries was also directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, who has always had a flair for extreme storytelling. It's worth noting that Clone Wars is hugely exaggerated as compared to Star Wars as a whole. Also, Grievous' introduction was fully intended to promote him being the new villain in Revenge of the Sith, so he was given a scene to show precisely how much of a danger he was (which was, compared to the movie itself, incredibly exaggerated).

Furthermore, The Clone Wars is the series with direct input from George Lucas, so it sits in a relatively higher canon than does any other media presenting the Clone Wars.

We get it, you're google searching is astounding.

Well because some random kid wouldn't be showing it off in some lame video. Because if it was done at the stage that the dude showed it off at then we would've been heard of it through game news and such. Because it doesn't take much work to create box art for a game. I could make a Metal Gear Solid 7 game case tonight and show off the disc.

No, that would be understanding how the industry works.

The boxart and manual are pretty much the very last things to be done in game production, after the game itself has been finalized. It's simply impossible for it to exist in such a finished state, at this point in time, with no news that it's being worked on.

Furthermore, the ISBN registry already proved the boxart is a shop. A well-done shop, but a hoax nonetheless.

It's actually not even that well done, anyway - the back cover looks very unprofessional until you get to the bottom part which is just directly lifted off of other games. It reminds me of the fake case art that we have at work.

this is all true but none of it detracts from my statements. the fact of the matter is that we have seen many child cartoons that are a thousand times more mature then TCW even the older CW cartoon. so it is not a matter of the writers having their hands tied or that they are expected to go by certain tropes in order to entertain. theyre doing it only because they want to and theyre contradicting everything that has been established by other eu and by the canon because they want to. its a specific direction that they want the show to go in the audience isnt influencing that. and the direction theyre going in just irritates me. ive seen kids shows that are much more mature and are much better at portraying war. i personally prefer the old CW cartoon infinitely. the fighting was clunky due to the art style but at least the majority of the fights were extremely balanced as long as the main charcters who appear in later movies werent involved (yoda mace obi-wan anakin etc.).

Indeed, the back art is what made me look twice. No cut-in screens with shout out captions? No announcing the new features? Not good selling design, that.

Eventually, everything in TV productions falls to the audience. Ratings go up when the audience enjoys the show, simple as that. As a result, shows are largely dictated by what the audience wants from them. It's not evident in a one-shot season; it has to be seen in the changes between seasons.

And now that I think about it, where in the CW miniseries did the Jedi ever lose, except for when the series was showing off Grievous?

Nnnnnnope 😛 And considering that graphics design was what I was originally aiming to go into? Yeah. You've heard my rants on that sort of thing before. If that were real, I'd hope that the person who came up with the design lost their job for doing something so terrible, from an advertising and marketing perspective.

Peach, you work at GameStop, right?

Does the one you work at have official box art on Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2?

Yes.

And I have no idea, I haven't been there in a week. I know we have fake cover art for marketing displays, but as the game doesn't come out for a couple months yet the cover art may change. At the very least, only the front side would be accurate anyway.

Thank you. 🙂

That's good news for me.
