Since it's the Halo movie we're discussing, I don't think the fans will care if Chief is played by a person the studio randomly picked out just as long as Chief can perform awesome alien ass kicking since that's the main reason fans buy the games in the first place.

The producers will want to bring in non-fans, too. More cash.

Yeah, but the movie wouldn't be made to appeal to just the hardcore fans of the game. It'd be made to try to make as much money as possible, which means appealing to the average person.

I really don't know how many time I need to say it before people get it - companies do not make things to appeal to the serious fans, as they are always a small minority and doing so would be stupid.

I think one of the points of the movie would be to gain new fans. Of course Halo fans wouldn't mind as much, but a movie starring Nathan Benton wouldn't draw in as many new people as one starring Tom Hanks or SLJ.

Hey I know we're not supposed to use people that actually existed, but does that also count for Dynasty and Samurai Warriors characters or are they the exception to the rule?

There's like a million Halo fans. Heck, maybe more.

Humans tend to want more, more and more.

Do you really think Peter Jackson and the gang would go that low?

If all else fails, get a failure. you won't expect anything new.

And a million is not really that large of a number, considering there are 300 million people in the US and 6 billion in the world.

The money from the fans is guaranteed, even if they disagree with whoever is cast or whatever. It's the money from the average person that they're going to work more at getting, and care far more about.

anime and videogames are two different things and Peter Jackson isn't the one who directed Dragonball now did he?

Oh, dear.

I am very sure that DBZ fans outnumber Halo fans.

more than likely obliberates.

Movies not being made directly to the fans is what makes the movies epic fails in the first place. Take Doom for example.

Considering that DBZ has been around for a great many years and is one of the most popular anime ever created, yeah. Halo fans don't even compare.

No, the Doom movie failed because it was just a terrible movie to begin with.

Anyone with any sense knows that catering to the nitpicky whiners who get pissy when everything isn't 100% perfect and doesn't live up to their personal vision is a bad, bad idea.

The big problem is true fans will always find something to complain about.

As someone who is a huge fan of several different things and has been known to ruthlessly dissect them to pieces despite the fact that I love them? Yeah. That is very, very true.

And you even got to witness it in person! ๐Ÿ˜Š

A great deal of it was "[Name] is stupid," though ๐Ÿ˜›
