aren't directors supposed to change some portions of the movie from what ever they made it from?

I wouldn't exactly say 'supposed to', but straight adaptations rarely ever work and tend to be flatout impossible.

No, the Doom movie failed because it was just a terrible movie to begin with.

Doom got doomed because the ones making the movie didn't follow the plot of the game. Instead of Hell being literally unleashed, we just got mutants running out of a lab. Crappy plot, crappy characters that were made up instead of putting in characters from the game, and the movie isn't as scary as its videogame counterpart which led to its awfulness.

I've never seen a scary movie except in the sense of its so terrible it is scary.

Um, Doom (the games) didn't really have a plot.

I would call getting the heck off a base on Mars that has Hell literally frozen over a plot.

Then I would say that you don't understand what a plot is.

That would be called 'motivation', but it in no way equals 'plot' or 'story'.

of course it did, run through a hellish place kill things, stay alive, find the source in hell, kill hell demons (as a normal human), leave hell and go home...

sounds like a great game plot to me ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Yeah except they didn't put it in the movie.

Did we ever get an answer on the Dynasty Warriors characters?

No that's just survival.

It in no way equates to a series or sequences of events that encompass and overall connected story.

Yeah, but via some space-time paradox it still managed to have a better plot than the movie without even having one in the first place.

Nope.

Why did they even change the plot of the Doom movie in the first place? It doesn't make sense. I believe they once said that they wanted to please the fans and yet the movie looks like it's shouting "I think the videogame Doom fans can go shove their fanboyism up where the sun doesn't shine". Unfortunately when Hollywood does listen to people telling them to come up with their own ideas, they come up with the ideas under a title we're familiar with.

youre really fixated on that topic arent you?

Just let him have his tantrum, he won't be happy unless he complains about something, and this way we all can just not read his messages and he can go on whining, every ones happy then.
