The focus on character development is top notch though. I don't find it too generic. Although I am no uber scifi gamer/reader/moviegoer etc.

I'm not big on sci-fi for the most part. It just feels too much like everything else ever made, though.

And, as ever, I am sorely underwhelmed by the character development. Bioware has yet to live up to what they claim to be able to do in their games.

what? The PS3 has quite an impressive library. Its every bit as good as the xbox 360s if you ask me.

Edit Ack double post

Pretty much. Most of the good games besides ME1&2 are multiplatform and there hasn't been many 360 exclusives lately and PS3 is sorta getting most of them. If people aren't a fan towards Mass Effect, they can just get a PS3 instead.

For double the cost. /cough.

Or they can just get a 360 if that's what they want.

There is only one game that is a PS3 exclusive that I want to play and I can play it on my PSP anyway.

Preference I suppose. The only game I'd buy a Ps3 for that isn't also on xbox or PC is GoW3. But I won't buy it for a single game.

Wish Space Marine was coming out on PC, though. :c That's one game the Xbox has now that PC doesn't that I'd play. Not buying that for one game, though either.

Exclusives can be a pain in the ass huh? I was never really able to get myself to be a PC gamer though, as much as I tried. Consoles are my thing.

Did you like it enough to play it all the way through?

The suicide mission is very cool and that is where most of the development shines.

Not trying to brainwash you into liking ME2 btw.

Same here.

This is why I bought both a 360, PS3, and Wii. I won't have to worry about exclusives for awhile.

not everyone can afford to get all of them.

Wii sucks XD

This is why my parents bought both a 360, PS3, and Wii.

I fix.

Wii is awesome.

I only just started it today, and I didn't actually buy it. I just borrowed out a used copy from work ๐Ÿ˜› I got a few hours of play in, which is more than I can say for the first.

Definitely won't be buying it and finishing it any time soon, but it's decent enough that I probably will do so at some point in the future.

I can't play my Wii ๐Ÿ™ the nunchuck is just a little bit too large for me to hold comfortably, so my hand cramps up horribly after a half hour of play.

Wii is for Wiiners notworthy

I see what you did there.

Same here. Well, that's still 1 more game than on the 360 ๐Ÿ˜›

ME1 was awesome and I plan to purchase ME2 in the future (when the price goes down) because I loved the first one. Scifi games that take the time to fully explain their technology and back stories are awesome.

Chances are that I'll be getting PlayStation Network after maybe two or three weeks from now. Would you guys like to share what your PS3 usernames are so I can meet you in maybe Bioshock 2 or Modern Warfare 2? Mine will still be Nemesis X of course.

ME2 was a pretty cool game imo, problem with these games with long stories and that are based on text more so than combat is that playing it through again can take too long and chances are youve seen most of it already. The replayability is there but it can be tedious.

Story>>>>gameplay to me.

In those kinds of games I agree. I think less so in RTS or fighting games.

ME2 has lots of replayability though.

The differences between Paragon/Renegade/neutral Shepard are quite impressive. It feels like you're playing a brand new character.

Add 2 genders and numerous balanced classes and you run out of excuses not to replay the game(unless you don't like it)

I know the decisions can be very unique but your still talking to the same people, the same overall storyline and the differences are usually in behaviour, thats what I have found through playing through as a Paragon (after being a renegade).

I just wish it was more like Dragon age, where you choose a race and your particulour class and starting area can give you an almost entirely new storyline (obviously the main moments still remain but the beginning and emotions are unqiue).
