You are thinking of the Mackinac. And no, I'm not up north. West Michigan, I fall in to Southwest Michigan to be precise.

Yeah. I've been there only once and it was several years ago. We took a train for about a two hour ride.

Edit: Climbing trees is difficult without thumbs. Plus I'm pretty heavy. Not many trees in our fields either. But I can fly, what do I need to climb for.
