K, so is the new FF game on the PS3? I figure eventually I might as well see what all the fuss with FF is about, and maybe the newest one is a good place to start.

It is on PS3 and 360.

I saw it in best buy last night, contemplated getting it... but then remembered that if I'm gonna buy any RPG it's gonna be Mass Effect 2.

i have been researching FF13 since it was announced. i finally think im gonna get it. i was hoping for more of a FFX battle system but oh well. its like a hybrid between 7 (futuristic) 10 (graphics characters) and star warsish. of course the music is top notch

how was mass effect 1? would i have to beat that to play mass effect 2?

FFXIII is on the PS3 and Xbox 360. And is absolutely amazing. ME2 has nothing on that game.

The battle system is a hybrid of FFXII (in that you see the enemies on the field before the fight starts and can sneak past them or sneak behind them to get the edge in the fight), traditional FF turn-based battle (the ATB meter), and...completely new stuff. Paradigm Shift = ****ing awesome. And the leveling up system is pretty much the Sphere Grid once again. Which is awesome, as I loved the sphere grid.

I hated ME1, btw. ME2 was a lot better, and I'll probably actually buy it eventually, but it's not something I have to get anytime soon.

I don't know what any of that is. XD

I loved Mass Effect 1, I'm not sure how Peach(the nazi) didn't like it but I thought it was great. You don't have to have a file on 1 to play 2 but it makes it more interesting because of the myriad of choices you had to make in the first game can effect what happens in the second game.

So, HGSS is here in two days.

I know I'm gonna buy one, and I know I'll use a Charizard, and I know I'll rage a bit. But damnit, those games are fun.

I still can't decide if I'm gonna use Chikorita or Cyndaquil first. I had been leaning towards Chikorita or the past few weeks, but this morning I shifted to Cyndaquil.

Such a tiny choice, but I have trouble with it.

Totodile, damnit. Always the Reptilian one, the fire type if there's two.

Getting Silver, going with Cyndaquil for my starter. Will continue to rage about how much alakazam sucks. This one is gonna be fun though. I'm looking forward to traversing Johto again.

Alakazam doesn't suck. Last time I checked he was OU tier, or atleast areally amazing UU. Mr Mime is is UU, and he's like Alakazam if he did suck. (Inferior in every way.)

Nah Shin, I can't stand Totodile. Good thing too, I'd never be able to decide.

Squirtle, Cyndaquil or Chikorita, Treecko (the other two suck), and for 4th Gen, any of the three.

I don't even like fire that much but I chose it as my starter twice... If only I could choose a psychic, ghost, or electric starter I would be quite happy.
