I always pick a theme to name my pokemon after.

I always 'say' i'll name them but somehow i always loose all creativity at the last second and give up on nicknames

well now i'm having trouble thinking of a name for my rival...

name him Wazdakka

Originally I never named any of my pokemon.

Playing Fire Red, though, I had to name every one something unique with a related meaning. My Charmander got named Dante, a Rattata Diamond after a pet rat I had, silly things like Ampera for a female Pikachu, etc.

Rattata is a pretty win Pokemon. I wish Raticate had better stats.

So far my HG is Quilava, Flaffy, and Nidoran (male). They took away Teddiursa. /rage

where did you find a Nidoran? Seems like you may be further along than me if you have Flaffy... what level does Mareep evolve at?
