You have OoT on your list, Sands of Time, and Lego Star Wars, all action-adventure.

Over the top? As in the gore? Fair enough.

I never understood criticisms like that, rejecting something because it is not exactly like what it is based on.

Yeah, and they're exceptions. They're also not hack-and-slash which I've never liked (no, I don't like DMC either).

Water Temple

Anyone who says they were able to get through a Water Temple their first try with ease is a liar.

Wouldn't Ninja Gaiden be in the same genre? I love Ninja Gaiden.

There are bad games within a genre, it's not my fault that DMC and Bayo are terrible games. It's also not my fault that GoW is for casuals.

Ninja Gaiden has a far worse storyline than GoW, in that it barely exists, and Kratos' character has far more depth than Ryu's. ๐Ÿ˜

You don't actually seem to know what kinds of games are for casuals. Wii Sports and all its variants fit in with what is marketed for casual gamers, compare God of War and Wii Sports.

The PS3's only been out for a few years, and it's only started to catch up in sales in the past one year. And 360 sales plateaued a while back. That's why they dropped prices on the 360 a year and a half ago. Same with the Wii - sales plateaued and they dropped the price.

The PS3 is on its 4th year right now. The 360 sales plateaued a while back you say yet a price cut hasn't really changed anything since then? Doesn't sound like a good thing. Not sure why feel you have to justify the 360's sales here. It's not changing the fact that Sony is doing very well on the catch up and doesn't look to be slowing down anytime soon.

The Water Temple is not "hard."

The Water Temple however can keep you from ever being able to complete the game because you unlocked the wrong ****ing door.

Yes, it's on its fourth year, that doesn't mean it's been out for four years. It's been just a bit over three.

I didn't say that at all, though. 360 sales increased quite a bit after the initial price drop - it was a push for those who had been thinking about it but weren't sure about the price on it, and it worked. That's the point of price drops. It's still selling steadily. A sales plateau just means that it's not increasing from month to month, it's staying at a steady level.

And Sony has to actually have systems in stores in order to sell them. Especially with GoWIII coming out - I really have no idea what the hell they're up to.

The 360 has sold more units than the PS3 this February, for example.

No, it sold more in the States only this February (420k vs 390k, which is close), but Sony are working out shortages right now that have arisen after they had a huge sell through during the holidays.

Nothing exists beyond the US though.

Japan does

I'm of the idea that the PS3 will have enough good exclusives at some point, it's only a matter of time.

That's what people said a long time ago when the system first came out, and look at its library now. Still much of the same. ๐Ÿ˜

Bullshit. It's library is great.

Good, but not great.

Best library out there for current gen. And its not full of tons of games with shooter themes.

Aye. I put them like this: PS3 = Wii > 360.

I think the Wii is near garbage except for a handful of games. (Most recently Tatsunoko vs Capcom is very tempting...)It's still a step up over the abomination that was the Gamecube though.

The 360 is highly respectable but doesn't have the kind of games I'd be into.

Fair enough, but how was the Gamecube an abomination?

Gamecube > PS2

I personally enjoyed the gamecube, it had pikmin 1 and 2. As well as super smash brothers melee :3

It just has to be considered the worst home console Ninty ever put out.

And it came after the venerable N64, which I see as nearly the SNES' equal. That just made it seem even worse to me.

Resident Evil 4.
No more Gamecube bashing ๐Ÿ™‚
